Customer Questions & Answers

Can this paint be used on an ABS plastic bathroom tub ?

I have been trying to find a Plastic paint to refinish my ABS bathroom tub. will this paint work?
Asked by: Jim
No, Rust-Oleum Specialty Paint for Plastic is not recommended for application to a bath tub. Immersion in water is a very aggressive environment for paints. Most of our paints are not intended to be underwater and may peel, blister or show rust (on metal) in a very short time.

Hello, can this paint be used on resin plastics?

Asked by: Stephanie
Yes, Rust-Oleum Specialty Paint for Plastic Spray Paint can be used on most resin plastics. We recommend applying a test patch in a small inconspicuous area to ensure proper adhesion to the surface. Please keep in mind, full adhesion to the plastic surface may take up to 7 days.
