Answer:
Rust-Oleum High Heat Spray Paint can be used on a range hood. However, it is not necessary. Rust-Oleum Spray Paints will withstand temperatures of up to 200°F. In most cases, a range hood does not reach near that high of a temperature. We recommend using Rust-Oleum Universal Spray Paint and Primer in One. This product is even available in a slate gray color to match your new appliances. Read More

Answer:
Rust-Oleum Specialty High Heat paint will not adhere to a glass surface. This is formulated for application to metal. Instead, we suggest taking a look at Rust-Oleum Universal. This line is a paint in primer in one that will adhere to a glass surface and can withstand temperatures up to 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Read More

Can this be used to paint the burner grates on a gas oven stovetop? The grates surface has chipped but not by misuse.

This question is from 12 oz. Silver High Heat Ultra Spray Paint
January 8, 2016
The grates look like they were chipped and worn away from hard use, heavy pots or cast iron cookware dropped on them. However, I have used light weight teflon and don't cook much. Should I sand and smooth the worn areas before painting? Will the paint give off toxic fumes when I cook on the grates. They are very expensive to replace, nearly $360 -$400 for a new set

Answer:
Rust-Oleum Specialty High Heat Ultra Spray Paint is not recommended for use on surfaces that will come into direct contact with flames, such as that of the burner grates of a stove top. At this time, we do not have a paint that will withstand direct contact with flames or the heat source.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by More sparkle than anticipated Works alright a lot of sparkle in the beginning but once it dries it does gets closer to the cap color. I was painting the outside of an old oven and it took a lot of coats to cover it fully without there being areas of different silver intensity. I have completed one side of the oven and two coats on the front with one can. Will need to buy another to finish front and other side of oven. May 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Nice Look The only issue I had was that when it dried, the finished was more metallic than the cap showed. When I first sprayed it, I was a little upset but after I finished the project it looked great. Easy to use and it dried quick. June 4, 2013
