would this paint work for a range hood?

would this paint work for a range hood?
Asked by: doitall
Happy to help! Rust-Oleum Specialty High Heat Paint is suitable for use on surfaces that reach temperatures above 200°F and stay below 1200°F. Please note that the surface does need to be heated to above 200°F to fully cure the coating. If the surface stays below 200°F, we recommend using one of our other aerosol lines. Rust-Oleum Specialty / HIGH HEAT SPRAY PAINT has excellent adhesion and coverage. This writer has been using this product to renew steam radiators, in my home with outstanding results. Naturally surface prep is paramount. So far the 2 radiators that have been renewed look like brand new.

While it applied easily, it did not cover the entire metal screen with two (2) coats of spray paint. I had to buy a second can, and it still didn't do a complete job of coating the metal screen. It was the "white" color over a beige color screen. I'd rate it a 7 on a 10 point scale for the results I got with this product. Bob
