Answer:
David, in preparation to applying Rust-Oleum Chain Link Fence Rust Preventative Paint it is important to spot prime any rusted areas. Use Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Rusty Metal Primer for these rusted spots; do not prime the non-rusted spots. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Rust-Oleum-Stops-Rust-1-qt-Flat-Rusty-Metal-Primer-2-Pack-7769502/202058870

Answer:
Great question, Roland. However, it is difficult to give an exact answer to this question. Most coatings, including Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Chain Link Fence Paint, will last on average between 3-5 years. The lifespan of the coatings can increase or decrease with several factors including care, exposure, maintenance and usage.

Answer:
Jack, you can use a sprayer to apply Rust-Oleum Chain Link Fence Paint. However, applying it this way to a chain link fence will waste an excess amount of paint. We recommend applying Chain Link Fence Paint with a long nap roller.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great product fast delivery Home depo made this product available with fast delivery. Great paint product. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This is a good title This is a good product. It covers good with a long nap roller, there are places next to the pipes that need to be touched up with a brush. I got better coverage than they said I would. December 9, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked Perfectly I was very pleased with the coverage and it made our old rusted fence look brand new. Picture on can is pretty accurate for a before and after. Only down side is that I had to buy 2 gallons, I only used less than half of one gallon to get the job done. December 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful Product The fence looked terrible and now looks new since using RUST-OLEUM fence paint. The paint's consistency is thin which makes it easy to get good coverage on a chain link fence. It is messy when rolling it on, so I suggest old clothes and shoes. The end result is a fantastic looking fence. November 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Stops the rust & makes old new again I needed to make my fence look new again. I needed to stop the rust as well. It's messy, you must keep stirring it. However, when done looks great. I wish i had a before and after. I will try to come back and post the "after" at least. Where clothes you don't care about as you will get it all over you.
