Answer:
Rust-Oleum Door Paint is designed to adhere to wood and metal, it will not properly adhere to vinyl shutters without the adhesion assistance of a primer. We recommend starting off with a primer such as Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 before application of the Door Paint. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Zinsser-Bulls-Eye-1-2-3-1-qt-White-Water-Based-Interior-Exterior-Primer-and-Sealer-2004/100398398

Hi Li! Yes, our Rust-Oleum Door Paint is okay to use over previously finished surfaces as long as they're cured (at least dried for one week). Make sure you clean after sanding with a degreaser such as dish soap and water. Once dry, you can paint the door. We hope Read More

Answer:
At this time, Rust-Oleum Door Paint is only available in a quart size. The background color of the image, as well as the color strip on the can, is very close to how the color will appear once cured. Please visit your local store to see the true color.
