Will it cover ceramic

Asked by: paul
Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Protective Enamel works well on unglazed ceramic surfaces. If your surface is glazed, consider using Zinsser Bullseye 1-2-3 Plus Primer. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Zinsser-13-oz-Bulls-Eye-1-2-3-Plus-Primer-Spray-272479/203985969

12 oz. Protective Enamel Gloss White Spray Paint is rated 2.9 out of 5 by 7.

I have never met a Rust_Oleum rattle can that didn't clog, fizzle out with 4 oz. left, or the nozzle breaks off. Seriously, this Company has been making spray paint forever, and they still make a bad product. For decades, I just dealt with it, until I found other Euro brands that have superior delivery and better paint quality. I like Krylon a little more, but Montana, MTN and Ironlak have these USA brands beat. I'm ready for Rust-Oleum to step up and start making some quality spray cans. Please?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy Rust-Oleum After using Rust-Oleum for many years i have completely given up on them. They used to make a decent paint, but the last 2 years every time I have used it (more than a dozen) I have been disappointed. - Does not cover well - Terrible nozzles cause poor spray pattern (drips and runs) - Takes twice as much to cover the same area - Finish is poor to average - You have to buy the "professional" line (at almost twice the price) to get a decent nozzle and it's the same paint. They're charging more because the nozzle is "upgraded". The 2X (Primer + Paint) is the worst. Goes on heavy (that's ok if you need that) so the coverage is very low. You'll need almost twice as much (and still has a cheap nozzle) It's surprising, but Krylon, a less expensive brand, is making a better paint (get it at Wallyworld) The K paint covers well, has a good finish, holds up well, comes with a good nozzle that makes a nice spray pattern so you use less paint, fewer drips, better finish.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very poor results, switching to Krylon After two tries to paint a simple sheet metal part, properly cleaned and primed, I am giving up on Rustoleum, it has become garbage. Both the 2x coverage and the regular gloss enamel had bad fails. Removed the first fail and stripped it down to the bare metal (steel) and reprimed with the regular primer and gloss protective. Failed again with very poor finish and spray pattern. I am an experienced painter, very careful to clean and prep, this product is no longer a good product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I've had good luck with these I have never run into the issues listed below. I have had good luck buying the cheap spray paint. If you just need white there is no reason to get the more expensive spray cans. I sprayed wagon wheels that were rusted and thirty years old. If you follow the instructions and do the correct prep, light even coats and dry times you will be all set. I wish I took a different before picture so you could see the rusting but now the wheels look great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from worked beautifully Hubby and I are remodeling an old farm house and decided to repaint the cast iron radiators. The radiators have previously been painted white but could use some sprucing up so we cleaned them thoroughly and prepped the room for some spray painting. We had the perfect time to do this since we were just finalizing the mudding of the drywall so we already had the plastic up and the windows vented. We sprayed on 2 cans and got nice coverage with no drips. The radiators look fantastic and there is nothing I would have changed about this product. Moving the radiators back to their previous location and reconnecting them the paint has held up perfectly, not a single mark, scuff or impression left in or on the paint.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Some cans won't spray I've purchased Rust-Oleum spray paint for many years. Lately, after the first use, the paint won't spray. I contacted the manufacturer and was told sometimes pigment gets clogged in the can outlet. That's just the way it is. I just now had to trash another almost fill can.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rust-Oleum Spray Paint Sooo much better then the less expensive sprays. Sprays on evenly, and dries to a heavy, smooth finish, that will last. You don't have to use as many coats as other brands.
