One guy from youtube used this product for the water heater baseboard, and I followed what he did. The heater cover feels pretty warm when heat is on. Is it going to be a problem? I just found out this product isn't recommended for heated surfaces. I'm getting anxious about it.

If for some reason the surface temperature would get higher than 200°F the only thing that would happen at this point is possible discoloration of the paint and peeling or chipping.”

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by WOW, came out way better than I thought So my husband and I bought a new house and the appliances it came with were balck and stainless steel. where as our current refrigerator was all white. I bought this paint thinking hey its worth a shot becuase I didnt want to spend $2k on a new one because the old one works just fine. After reading the previous review I was hopefull but still a little skeptical that it wasnt going to cover very well. We ended up to buy a stainless steel paint for the front from some where else but I was blown away how the top and sides came out using this black paint! It seriously looks like it just came from the factory. I was worried that the gloss wasnt going to be as high as normal but it totally is. As the previous review said make sure you have gloves and masks and a large drop cloth to put under the frige, that stuff gets every where. We really didnt want to have to do several coats so we did a thicker coat making sure to cover all of the white and it worked out perfect, no second coat needed. In total we only used like 2 1/2 cans so 6 is more than enough for 2 coats of a whole fridge. My only complaint is just the smallest thing, literally, the depresser, all be it the usual size, really made your finger and hand tired quickly. It would be just that much better if it had a bigger base. March 18, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasantly Suprised I used this product to paint my white Samsung french door refrigerator black to match the appliances in the house we moved into. I went in to the project thinking that spray painting would make it look tacky but after seeing that there was no way I was going to get anywhere near the $1,500 for my 1 year old fridge, I gave it a shot. I followed instructions to the teeth minus sanding (which I should've done on the front smooth part). Make sure you wear gloves, mask, and eye protection! The paint is an epoxy and very very sticky and settles everywhere. It is thick. I took my mask off after painting and it was almost black and I was grateful I wasn't breathing that in. Also tape off areas you don't want paint on with frog tape. It worked wonders when I used it to cover the electronics panel. Also use a light plastic drop cloth to cover the inside or paint will settle in there. The paint doesn't run very easy which is good but watch out around door handles because it will run when you try to get in the nooks and crannys. My 1st coat took 3 cans to cover the 26cu ft fridge. I let it dry a couple days and started to notice where I was a little light and missed. So I waited the recommended 1 week to put a 2nd coat on per instructions and that did the trick. I used 5 cans total. The finish is pretty good. There are a few spots I wish were better but that was where I didn't sand on the smooth front. The sides were immaculate. The smell subsides slowly. Overall I was surprised this turned out as well as it did. June 5, 2012
