I was nervous about starting this project but once I started it was quite easy. It was definitely time consuming but well worth all the hard work. I love the transformation!!!

My husband and I purchased this kit mainly to save a good bit of money and not completely replacing our cabinets. We don't have tons of cabinets in our kitchen, so 1 kit got the job done for us. The only negative to the project is that it is time consuming, but the end result is exactly what we hoped for! If you have a large kitchen with a lot of cabinets, you might not want to take on this project unless you have a lot of time on your hands.
The deglossing step is probably the worst part of the whole process, but once that's done, the paint applications are painless. Make sure to get good brushes! If the first application looks streaky, don't worry, the 2nd coat should take care of any streaks. We applied 3 coats since we went with white. As the paint dries, it absorbs very nicely into the wood and you can still see the grain - making the application look professional and higher end.
We love the way our cabinets turned out! Just be prepared to invest a few days worth of time into the project - it's worth it in the end though!

We bought this in the hopes of saving money by having to buy new cabinets, and it did. Some of the things to take into consideration before buying this and doing the cabinets yourself:
It is time consuming. It took my fiancée and I a whole week to finish this product, working every day (by every I mean 7-8 days straight). You have to degloss, then paint, then paint again, the glaze, then gloss. And God forbid you screw up, because you have to start the whole process over again on that spot. They say the glaze is optional, but if you are not going to put the glaze on, I would just buy some high end paint and some type of clear coat gloss to do the cabinets with, and sand the cabinets instead of de-glossing them. It will save you money in the long run, and maybe some time as well (the de-glossing was a lot of work).
After you are done painting the doors, reattach them before doing the glaze and gloss. Make sure you finish the cabinet frame first completely, and then attach the doors after the doors are painted. This will save you the headache of smudging the doors after glazing/glossing as well as drying time before you can handle them.
We went through a small box, which stated it was 40 linear feet, and then another 1/2 small box to finish the project. While the kit comes with more than enough overcoat and glaze, you will not be able to get 40 linear feet out of the paint or de-glosser if you are doing it correctly with just one. We used the cabernet color and feel it came out best with the type of look we were going for.
Other than that, I think it was a relatively good purchase, considering the alternative.

This kit was great, it has completely transformed our kitchen. My only regret is not doing this when we first moved into our house. The process is not quick since each coat has to completely dry before moving onto the next step, but it was all worth it when we put the cabinets back together. I started on a Sunday afternoon, worked each night of the week after work and was hanging the cabinets on Saturday morning.

I love to work outside in the yard but when it comes to things inside the house, I am clean but that is about it. I wanted to redo my kids bathroom but not do a total remodel. When i saw this product I thought it would be a great quick fix until I re-did the whole bathroom. Now that I am done, I LOVE it and will not be tearing them out! In fact it came with so much product that I still have enough to do my kitchen cabinets as well. Its was super easy and anyone can do it@
