Answer:
I wouldn't think so - the amount of use and things in sink may be too harsh for the product. The information/literature in the box doesn't encourage this, but suggests removing the sink to complete projext.

Answer:
Not literally ON the sink, but you can tape around the sink and put it all around. I got a new sink to show off the new look. Taping around the sink it the most time consuming but it works well. Be sure to score/cut where you want to peel it off--it will make life much simpler.

Answer:
The Countertop Transformations Kit can not be applied in the bowl of a sink. It should not be applied to plastic, or surfaces that come into heavy/constant contact with water.

Answer:
Great question, Ken. Rust-Oleum Countertop Transformations Kit is a multi-step kit. The adhesive bond coat is a water-based acrylic formula. As for the protective top coat, it is a modified silicone epoxy.

Answer:
No, Rust-Oleum Countertop is designed to adhere to laminate, Formica and wood trim only. A water-based product may cause some particles or pieces to swell, causing undesired results in your finish. We recommend using oil based paint, such as Rust-Oleum Countertop Coating, on plywood or particle board. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Rust-Oleum-Specialty-1-qt-Countertop-Tintbase-Kit-246068/202820906

Answer:
Rust-Oleum Countertop Transformations Kit is designed to adhere to laminate, Formica and cultured marble surface as long as it’s not the sink portion. Arborite is a form of laminate and the product will work well on that.

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 16 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A lot of work, but great results At around 4000.00 to replace the counter tops, i decided to try this first for 250.00. All I can say is WOW!!!!!! It looks great, a lot of work but AWESOME results. Follow the directions to the "T". And plan on 2-7 days with out your counter tops. Light use in 2 days. But it's so worth every penny. July 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Results This product requires a tremendous amount of work and time. Overall, I was happy with the results and was cheaper than replacing the counter tops. April 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 1roomAtaTime Great product for those wanting to get a new look without spending thousands of dollars. We love the look of granite, but the cost is too high. This kit was about $250 and comes close to looking like granite. It does take time, patience and following directions closely. If you're doing a room that is frequently used, (kitchen in our case) you'll want to really sit down and plan a time line of how you want to apply the product and how you'll get around not using that room for a week. It took us about 5 days to get the product on the counters and an additional 7 days to let the counters cure. We watched the DVD several times throughout the process and reread the instructions. (You will need a few tools that are not in the box, such as painters tape, paint brushes, rollers, etc.) Take your time, follow directions exactly and you'll really like the outcome. Tips: We would definitely cover everything with plastic, have 2 people working together, and if you don't have a good shop vacuum or vacuum, consider borrowing one. Applying two clear coats at the end was good, but we did three coats and it made a huge difference. We would definitely do this again! (We did not do the backsplash, as we are having tile put in after counters cure.) July 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Product. Should be used more often. This is the second time I have used this product. It is a lot of work, but the end result is well worth the effort. It is a good substitute for Formica counter tops. April 28, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy DIY Product This product was very easy to use and a great way to cover up 1960's gold-veined formica! December 28, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Waste of time and money It looks great for a few weeks then starts chipping! What a waste of time and money. November 1, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worth the price. This kit is great for a do it yourselfer. I read the other blogs before purchasing, and I have to say they were very accurate. The whole project can be done in a weekend, but allow ample time (one week) for drying. Two things really make this project easier. Having a second person and a shop vac for cleaning up the dust (there is alot). Take your time in the prep work and the sanding after applying the chips, and you should be happy with the result. It is a great inexpensive way to get a face lift for you countertops. I also did the cabinet restoration kit and was very happy with total combined results. September 16, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Rustoleum Countertop Transformation The countertop transformation product went on very well. Changed the look of my kitchen completely! I only gave it 4 stars, when I received the product the top coat part B was missing. I contacted rustoleum (they are closed on weekends) they weren't willing to overnight the missing product or compensate us for the inconvience at all. Did receive it 7 days later. Home depot was excellent! Very kind customer service and refunded us 10% back! April 8, 2015
