I only got the one kit, but after using it, I would feel confident that it applies uniformly enough that two kits could be used and should still produce uniform results...

Answer:
Even though I haven't bought two products I would say yes. In one kit there are multiple packages of chips and they all looked the same. I would feel comfortable buying two kits and them matching.

Answer:
My bathroom vanity has a backsplash. Countertop is 60" x 18". Had enough adhesive to cover fairly thick. More than enough chips, really did them thick, and still have over 2 bands left. Although a lot of top coat left, they say not to save once mixed, so tossed that. Small would probably work, they base it on square footage.

No. I'd say try the countertop paint. I had terrible results, but my neighbor did her kitchen counter and did really well. May just be me.

The onyx color is more uniform. The chips are what create the countertop and give it the integrity. I have, however, heard that few are happy with onyx and it reminds them of tar.

Answer:
I would say yes. Just be very generous with the base coat because in some cases it didn't cover up the previous counter color completely. The chips helped complete the work. I would maybe even consider doing two coats.

Answer:
Sorry, but Model # 258512 is meant to be used with the color chips.
However Rust-Oleum does make a countertop paint that doesn't have chips in it. It's called Specialty Countertop (Model # 246068), and it is a tint base product.
If your local Home Depot does not carry this product you can special order it from the store.

Answer:
Our countertop did not have metal trim, but when we pushed the oven back in (thinking everything was dry enough) we ended up "glueing" the oven to the countertop! LOL The product is VERY adhesive so I would bet it would stick! Hope that helps!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by not bad for the price Worked well looked nice. New counter tops are similarly priced unless you want real granite. The part behind the faucet was very difficult. Did not stick to old caulking. Should have removed it. Used the cabinet and counter top kit. For less than $500 it looks good. August 17, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by love it it was so easy and gave my countertops a nice face-lift so happy with the end result March 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice way to inexpensely remodel kitchen counters Easy to follow directions. My wife loved the step by step DVD directions. We worked on it together. Over the two days with a couple hrs each day, counters look beautiful. It is a little messy when applying chips but worth it. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great purchase. Product looks great when done. It definitely requires two people to put on in the time alloted. June 24, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasantly Surprised!! I used both Rustoleum countertop and cabinet refinish and as you can see from the photos below they completely transformed look of room. Just some finish detail work and backsplash and the transformation will be complete. I was wary of the countertop kit but am very satisfied with the finished product. One note is to ensure plastic covers walls and cabinets as the flecks will stick and are very difficult to remove. November 10, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Better than expected Product was fairly easy to use. Came with great instructions. I originally tried Rustoleum Counter Top paint, results were poor quality. Because the paint also needed to be sanded off prep time was fairly lengthy. Adhesive coat was easy to apply. If the wetting agent is used, be careful not to get on taped areas, as some wall paint came off (but not that big a deal). More than enough chips to cover completely. But extremely messy. Chips easy to sand down. Top protective coat was also easy to apply. Would consider doing another countertop if more colors were available. January 26, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Made my old laminate countertop look great! I used this kit on an old laminate countertop in our basement bathroom that needed updating. I didn't want to pay for real granite because this bathroom rarely gets used, but still wanted to do something about it. That's why I used this product, and I am very pleased with the results! It did take a little bit longer than I thought, but I had the whole weekend to get it done, and I was able to finish it during that time. March 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A GOOD PRODUCT, Do this Renovation ,you will not be sorry I'm thrilled with the new look of my counter top after using the Rustoleum renovation kit. What a huge difference. Instructions were easy to follow, pretty simple to apply the product. Two of us did this project which of course made it abit easier, but I really think I could have done it alone. The hardest thing was waiting for it to dry so I could use my counter top. It's been a couple months now and I'm still pleased with the result. January 19, 2014
