My floors needed to shine but I still wanted it to show the charm of my 130 year old home. This product was what I was looking for. The pre prep was the longest thing I had to deal with but so worth it in the end.

A lot of steps involved, but floors look cleaner and brighter than they have for a long time. As long as you're not expecting the floors to look like they were refinished by a professional, I think you'll be happy with the outcome.

I'm not sure why a previous customer had trouble with this product. Maybe his floors had wax on them...?
I started out with unwaxed oak floors, that were slightly scratched here and there and fairly dirty. I steam cleaned my floors first, spot sanded and stained where necessary, then applied the Wood Floor Transformation system exactly as instructed. The floors turned out awesome!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by FabFloor fabulous results with a little extra work
My floors were quite scratched, gouged, faded, and stained. I started with mineral spirits to remove the old wax, 73 years of wax and dirt. Then cleaned the foor and used the prep like the directions said. My floor was looking pretty rough so I decided to touch up the gouges and scratches with a rub on Hi-Def dark walnut stain. I ended up going over the whole room with the stain, wipe on wipe off method, which brought the color back and hid all the stains and most of the gouges. I let that dry overnight just to be safe. Then I put 3 coats of the clear poly coating from the kit. A little extra effort and WOW. Worth every penny and like many DIY projects-- you get out of it what you put into it. Take your time and remember every project is unique.

This product is great if you just need to do a new clear coat top cover.
If you have damaged floors with scratches in the wood or worn out stain you will have to put a little more work into it.
I cleaned the floors first, scrubbed out bad areas of abuse and used Stained scratch cover to help match the stain color of the floor in areas that needed it. I had to let this dry over night. The scratch cover product I used was oil based and would have mess with the new clear coat if still wet. After this first step I used the Rustoleum product as directed. The floor turned out great. This is a good product for a DIY job. But you may have to put work into it the floor first if you want it to turn out great.
Only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because it is misleading in what it says it will do. This will be amazing if you only have clear coat top cover damages. But with well worn scratched floors you have to put extra work in before using this product.

Bought this after quite a bit of hesitation and now I wish I would of just walked away. I found little reviews on this product so for those thinking about it, save your time and money. Our floors werent in bad shape so I wasnt looking for much improvement, but at least something of a change. I followed directions exactly and even watched the video (not that anyone needs to). It is a very basic application so even if your not DIY inclined its very simple. After all was said and done I am very disappointed. There is literally no improvement at all and looks as if nothing was ever applied. On a positive note, it dries quickly. Already contacted Rustoleum for a refund so Ill see what happens. Waste of a few hours and $70 bucks.
