Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by jnorstar Truly beautiful wood. Easy to work with.
Each box was unique, ranging in deeper brown and purple to lighter with blue. Beautiful knots and grains. My only complaint was we needed 3 times the product to finish than we originally thought it would. We are still not finished but getting close and loving the outcome. We would do it again!!

These tiles were easy to install. I had 4 boxes - one box consisted mostly of light tiles with not much shade variation, while another had a wide array of vibrant tiles and the last two boxes were an assortment of light and varied colors. Between the 4 boxes I was able to combine them for an overall stunning appearance on the bath walls of my rustic cabin. I did order the unfinished tiles and the installation paper included in the box said to look on reverse side for finishing instructions but the back side is blank. I have gone on the Rustix Woodbrix website and tried emailing them to get their recommendations on what to use as a sealer but still haven't been able to contact them. Does anyone know what type of finishing product would be recommended on these tiles for a small cabin bath? Love the tiles but disappointed in the lack of information and communication on their website.

I installed this product over 50 year old panelling in my living room and all I can say is "WOW"! This product is just beautiful. There are so many variation is the colors of the natural product. I think I spent more time looking at the beauty in the wood that I spent on putting the product up! I had a north & south wall and above my bluesstone fireplace that was covered with 50 year old panelling that my wife wanted to paint over. I started looking for some kind of wood product to put right over the paneling. The WoodBrix were the ticket.
The Woodbrix were extreamly easy to install. There were instruction in the box that were easy to read & follow. They go up very fast once the initial run has been installed. I opened up 3 boxes at a time and staggered the coloration to give the walls a very unique look. These will go great with just about any color wall.
I would advise that you have a powered miter box saw for the tops, edges and corners. This tool is a must have. I used heavy duty construction adhesive to install the product. With two people working together the process goes swiftly. Make sure you find the center line of your wall to start and work out from the center to the edges.
I had more that a few friends & relitives that were very sceptical when I started this project. They are all convinced that I am a genious for chosing the WoodBrix!
Not only are they easy to put up, there is very little maintenance with them. They have a wax finish ont the exposed side & the wax is imparted deep into the wood. All I have done to keep the luster is to go over the Brix with a car duster. Takes 3 minutes once a week or so. These are vertually maintenance free. There is no staining of the wood since they wax is already on the product. No messy staining or poly.
I give this product 5 stars because 6 wasn't available. The pictures on Home Depot's website look just like my wall.
