Creates a smoke- and gas-tight seal for your stove, range or furnace. Smooth, non-gritty, ready-mixed silicate cement sealant formula cures easily using heat. Use to bond and seal metal to metal or masonry to metal joints under 1/8 in.

Answer: 
You can not use Furnace Cement in any outside elements. Rutland Hi-Temp Silicone Sealant, Item 76B will work perfectly for this use.

I have asthma and can't handle the smell of the hi heat silicone, when applying or cured when the stove gets hot. I'm looking for something to seal gaps in cast iron stove.
