Answer:
Definitely ! Mine would NOT feed properly when I used the .095" (red) line that came in the package. When I loaded it with the .080" line I had used for years with the old head, it cut and fed perfectly. I've used it several times since on some tough weeds (including green kudzu vines), and am very satisfied.

Answer:
Hi OclalaFamily in Florida.
Thank you for your question.
According to the manufacturer, the .095 in. string head should fit most Ryobi Gas Trimmers. There are several adapters included in the package. You may have to try several of them.
Hang onto your receipt just in case.

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 47 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed 'til I used a smaller line... Purchased two weeks ago; installed easily, using the .095" line that came with it. Could only feed line manually (with the knob tightened snugly by hand). Decided to slightly loosen knob-- seemed to allow it to "bump" feed a couple of times, then fed about 12" & wound excess around shaft; cut off excess and tried again (several times) with same result. Was ready to return to HD, but decided to try using the old .080" string I had been using for years on the original head...glad I did; it cuts and feeds perfectly, now! Hope this will help someone avoid the exasperation I experienced. (Too bad the engineers who designed this "improved" head didn't see this flaw...) August 25, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Probably works but... The replacement head looks as though it would work fine. Instructions are great for installation. However, I was unable to remove the string head from my Ryobi Expand-it product. There are no instructions for removing the old head except to turn clockwise or CCW depending on type. In my case there is no nut to turn and the head itself just spins. My advice is to check You-Tube to ensure you can remove the old head before purchasing this product. August 23, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by not good it was hard to use it did not do what I wanted it to do I got 2 blished dealing with it August 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by corrected problem. My trimmer had quit feeding line out and I got this head and it is both easier to load string and it works like it should now. September 13, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Repair Part About the only product I have found that can be used to replace spool head on Ryobi trimmer with the hex nut for spool to attach to. Works fairly well for relatively inexpensive trimmer August 23, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works great so far Seems to work great although I think it is a lot lighter than my old bump feeder so I had to dial down the idle some to keep it from spinning without throttle August 23, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works better than the standard string head that came with trimmer. Works better than the standard string head that came with trimmer. It has only been a week so not sure how long it will last and work well, bit good so ar. A little pricey. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exact Fit. It was a simple remove and install. Remove the bump knob, slide off the string head, slide on the new string head, and install the new bump knob. August 2, 2016
