I have not mounted it in my table yet, but it looks like it should. That is what I intended in purchasing this particular model.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works as expected. Purchased this router to install flush mounted wood vents in my wood floors to replace the rather ugly metal vents. The hardest part was measuring correctly so that the new vents would fit without large or uneven spaces between the vents and the floor. Ryobi router worked extremely well, powerful enough to cut through 3/4" oak in 2 passes. Only problem I had was that the guide bearing on the router bit rode up the bit shaft at one point causing the bit to track off its straight line. Router works great, but be advised that it throws a huge amount of sawdust over a large area. Only a problem if you're working inside your house, as I was. March 12, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Realy Bad I bought this router in a 3 base kit and returned it one week later. The power of the router is very low and struggles to make cuts in hard wood and because the motor housing is made of plastic as the motor warms up fine adjustment is almost impossible to make. Also the lack of a 1/2in collet restricts the amount of bits that can be used with this system. If you can afford to get a router with a metal body and base then do it, you may spend a little more money but it is well worth it in the long run and far less frustrating. In my opinion Porter cable and Dewalt make the best routers you can buy. March 17, 2007
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Feature quality has been lowered. This router is ok, but not nearly as good as the last Ryobi I had, due to the adjusting mechanism. I don't care for this design at all but it's all they offer now. My other one was stolen but it had a band adjuster around the body and an adjustment measurement around the band with a huge lock. Just unlock it and turn the dial to add or subtract height. This one is not nearly as easy or accurate and it has a lot of looseness in it during the adjustment, making it less accurate, or harder and time consuming to adjust. July 21, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Every purchase is the best I have ever had..... I ordered this for a Christmas gift, so I won't have any answers before then. Sorry, but that's all I can say about it at this time!!! October 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice little router for the price! I have three routers at home in New Mexico but, of course, I neglected to bring any of them with me to Utah to work on my girlfriend's art studio. I needed to install two new, doors in the studio and wanted to route the hinge recesses in the doors and jambs, so I ordered this sweet little Ryobi router. I had a little trouble getting the depth of cut exactly right because this fixed base router is different in design from my home routers. After a few test cuts, it did all I asked of it. I really love the LED lights in the base which make it very easy to see the cut as it progresses. At the low price I didn't expect much, but this little 1/4" router surpassed all my expectations. That, I guess, would be my only criticism: it only accepts 1/4" shank router bits. All in all, an excellent tool for the money. August 30, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good quality The router is extremely powerful for the price. I use routers daily, and this Ryobi is light enough to work with for a long time. It does not come with any accessories , but for the price, that's ok. Home Depot sells accessories for this router. I am thinking of buying another router just to save time changing bits. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great router for price I bought this router a couple of weeks ago. so far I am very pleased with my purchase. The wood chip guard and the LED lights make it very easy to see the bit and the work piece. The light weight design makes it easy to do hand held routing. As far as in the table it is great. I made a homemade table and it is very easy to adjust the height by using a racheting screwdriver with a socket. The bit change is also very easy. The router is all put together ready to go in the handy carrying case. June 20, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Powerful-ish, with no precision Look, I agree with everyone that it's impressive, for 60 bucks. And if my only complaint was that it struggled a bit with oak and mahogany, then I would just take more passes on shallower cuts. But the problem I have is that the adjustment mechanism is completely worthless. It sticks, it's cheap and plastic-y, it struggles a LOT against gravity if you're trying to back the bit up without flipping the router over, and CRITICALLY: it has zero accuracy. The dial is marked with 1/16th inch lines, and underneath is a "zero reset" which is just their way of describing the free turning ring that the numbers are actually printed on. This lets you manually change the readout to match the actual depth adjustment - AFTER you've made it, since the lines on the dial bear no relationship to the actual movement of the bit - so that...I don't even know why. Not bad if you can afford the table and a router lift that you plan to mount it in permanently, but if I could afford the 300 to buy those two items, I probably wouldn't be looking at $60 routers. This will be getting returned tomorrow. August 3, 2014
