Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sternberg I needed a cheap sawzall
I needed this thing for its reciprocationg motion. I wanted to be able to lap two parts, saddle and body together with sandpaper in between to get a very good fitting glue joint on some little rocking horses I make on occasion.
I have always had very good luck with Ryobi tools, even though they are not as expensive as most others. This one fit the bill very well.
It also serves its intended purpose of cutting through nails, studs, 2 bys etc, very well.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by RonP Great little saw
I love this little saw, used it for cutting up pine trees I had paid to have taken down. Most were about 10 to 12 inches diameter. I used hand truck to get end off ground so I could cut them in 2 ft pieces. I bought 6 Diablo 12 inch blades with 5 tpi. It would take about 2 minutes to make each cut. I am guessing on time for ecah cut but I got the job done. I am 72 years old. Thank you Ryobi and Home Depot for a great product Ronald P Covington Ga

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by kbcoch It survived a MAJOR workout the first day
I bought this in pinch, I am on a strict budget, I did not expect the quality, This is just as powerful as my Milwaukee, But lighter and the blades are much easier to change ,and 1/3 the price.
The first day I used it for cutting up palm trees, and their huge mound of roots about 8 running hours of heavy use ( this is not its intended use) but I cut 4x4 s, branches, roots, and even a chain link fence. I have used it about 6 times so far, and am very happy. I just wish it had a case to store it in.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Panzerb0y Ryobi ergonomics make the difference
After one month and a fair amount of cutting, I'm still very pleased with this saw. For whatever reason, Ryobi tools always seem to have the best ergonomics, but that is probably just a personal preference and has to do with body type. In any case, I know they fit me well, and I've never been disappointed with a Ryobi.
This saw in particular is pretty standard. The only notable features being a rubberized grip (the grey parts on the housing) and a tool free blade change feature. The grip provides a nice surface and seems to reduce vibration. Easy blade changes is a big deal in my book: not only because you can always have a sharp blade, but I know that if changing the blade is a hassle then I'm more likely to use the wrong blade for the job, just because I don't want to lose time (or because I'm lazy, you be the judge).
The only thing I wonder about is how well the rubberized grip will wear after several years of sliding around on the floor. It will probably eventually wear off, but that should take a while.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CoffeeAndMascara Great product for the price
I bought this originally to help cut down some scraggly dead trees and bushes we did not want in our yard anymore and it far exceeded my expectations! It's very powerful for it's price, blades are easy to interchange, and in fact we even used it to cut down several trees that were a good 8in or so in diameter if not more with no problem.

Saw had a great feel to it at first and then all of the sudden blade quit moving and making whining sounds.. Gears must of stripped out, I was cutting 12gauge steel when this happened..i would reccomend for wood cutting only..Home depot exchanged with no hassle since the 90 day warranty was still in effect. getting another one the same except just using for small jobs
