Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A step up Just bought this drill press today. I had been using an old drill press adapter where you mounted a drill to a stand using metal bands. It worked but what a change going to the Ryobi. It was easy to set up. The instructions are clear. The laser is cool. The only negative points are the roughness of some of the castings and, Jeez Louweeze guys, couldn't you have included the stoopid light bulb???!!! May 10, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sweet Drill Press I recently bought the 10" Ryobi drill press. I was originally looking at purchasing the 12", but it was too big and bulky for my set up. I am very pleased overall with the 10" drill press. It has some nice features such as a built in work light, easy set drill depth gauge, Exactline laser cross lines and it comes with a work vice to hold smaller products in place. However I do find the work table a little on the small size. Also when the work table is raised higher for working the laser lines become ineffective. Excluding these couple very minor draw backs it is a nice drill press that performs well and does everything that I need. March 23, 2009
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great tool to have It's a drill press and it does just what it's made to do and does it well. The laser is very helpful, of course, but I was disappointed that Ryobi didn't include a bulb for the illuminating light - that's small stuff so I didn't really sweat it. It was just an inconvenience finding a bulb with the proper base for it. Setting it up was fun (for me - I enjoy doing stuff like that). This drill isn't too heavy so I'm able to pick it up & put on my workbench when needed and pick it up again so as to put it back in its 'storage' place. A great bang for the buck. July 14, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ryobi 10" Laser Drill Press When my wife bought me the drill press and assembled it herself as a surprise for my birthday, I was somewhat skeptical at both price and the fact that she was able to build it. I have never been so wrong, It is a wonderful DP for the DIY'r I have used it in many a delicate operation such as boring holes through assorted woods to make pens on the lathe. Once you adjust your height which takes approx 10 sec it no other adjustment are required. The speed change works flawlessly and it is a solid built machine well worth the money. August 23, 2007
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by There are better options out there In terms of price, yeah, it's good for the buck, but ultimately, it's not the highest of quality. The table press is not solid, and doesn't stay in place as much as one would want. This greatly effects the ability to work well with it. The vice is nice but way to small of a mouth and there no express routes to detach it. It's nuts and bolts every time... Quiet, and runs well, but there are some things that need to be tweaked on it before I'd buy another. January 13, 2009
