The shipping was as scheduled, the boxes arrived intact, the saw and stand were easy to assemble, the laser was perfectly sighted out of the box and the cutting edge matched it. The saw is not as noisy as some (though I always use ear protection). The sliding mechanism works well as does the angle adjustment. The saw comes equipped with a good (true) crosscut carbide blade. Do not have the dust collector hooked up yet but the attached bag seems to do Ok. Setting the saw up on the stand was easy, the stand is also easy to adjust and the entire assembly can be picked up and moved by one person.

I purchased the saw and stand after using my son-in-law's Ryobi miter saw while helping him with a bookcase project. It impressed me so much I had to have one of my own. Now, after several projects, I can say this saw and stand have performed great, true value for the money.
The only downside to this saw (and every other power miter saw I have owned) is that the dust collection is marginal at best. I will be hooking it up to a shop vac soon.

I'm really NOT one to write a review without working the tool more than a few times. I'm writing this one because the throat plate was broken when I opened it. I contacted Ryobi and they answered me right away. A new plate (with screws) was shipped within a day or two. So far I have used the saw several times (using caution due to the throat plate) and it cuts true right from the box. My son also owns one of these and has used it much more than I have and loves it. I definitely love the service!

Only used the product twice so far. Has performed very well. The saw is very light weight compared to my older one. Worked perfect right out of the box. No problems with assembly.

I personally like this brand and have tools 15 years old that work great, the saw is very well made and precise in cutting, saw has plenty of power . The stand is very heavy and sturdy, legs lock open and don't wobble, has built in stops on both ends that raise when you need them. Good value

I"m just a Home DIYer / (trying) woodworking hobbyist. This thing works really great for my needs and at such a good price. I was waiting quite a while for this set to get back in stock and then, the day it was, I bought it. A few weeks later black friday happened and it was even cheaper, but I'm still happy with my purchase. I had it for projects over the Thanksgiving weekend ;-).
Assembly: It was a piece of cake and it is a pretty solid stand, for being lighter weight. I have a 2 car garage that I keep this tucked back in a corner in. I move the cars out and take it, a bench, and my tools out of their hidey holes to do projects. I can move the whole thing fairly easily by myself. When I took it across the street to the neighbors house, I made him come help carry it.
Cutting: It has been handling everything I can throw at it with ease so far. smallest 1x2 to largest 2X12. Cuts smooth, slides great. Auto locking miter angles are a plus. Mine cut good and square out of the box, but the instructions let you know how to square it up if you have issues. The laser thing is, meh. I'm pretty sure lasers are just for the 12 year old in us that wants everything to have lasers. Line up the blade, clamp it down, double check the blade line, and cut. I haven't cut any bevel miter cuts, but Square bevel seem good and the Miter cuts have turned out great. I've been using the stock blade and they have turned out well. I have
Projects completed: Outdoor deck chairs (it was still warm during thanksgiving), Coffee table, Kids bookshelf, Kids tables and chairs, garage storage shelves .

Purchased this saw with stand for home projects. So far, no complaints. Worked perfectly right out of the box. The stand is light weight and folds for easy storage. The saw is easy to operate and the laser site is an added bonus.

The miter saw is great for my needs. It cuts very accurately without too much tinkering. I swapped-out the stock blade for a Diablo 40-tooth at the outset, though, so I cannot comment on the Ryobi blade.
The stand is structurally solid. Unfortunately, one of the adjustable knobs will not screw securely into a bracket on one of the sliding supports. I think there was a mishap in machining the holes because I can turn and turn it, but it drop right out. I need to take it back for an exchange or just go ahead and build a miter stand.
