Answer:
A 12-amp saw running at full speed on a 110 volt circuit will use 1320 watts. As the speed slows, the wattage decreases. When the trigger is first pulled, there may be a slight increase in the 1320 full speed wattage, but it is only momentary.

You would need to call Ryobi's power tool parts department, and describe the part that you require. That phone number, currently, is 1-877-545-4099.
There is also an online site for ordering parts, but you would need to be more specific about the part you need. For example, you would need the part number or the name of the part exactly as it appears in the parts list. In your case, "blade pin" will Read More

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in Ryobi. We would not suggest our saws for this application. We believe this unit would be too powerful for this use. It may also pose a hazard if it were to slip.

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 82 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Did the job.. Bought it to cut a pergola kit made of aluminum inserts with vinyl sleeves and it cut both types of material without any problem. August 23, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Biggest piece of junk Have gone through 12 of these in less than 6 months. First the guide breaks off, then the reciprocating internals stop reciprocating, don't bother unless you want to return/replace several times. I have been in business for almost 20 years, have had many different brands of sawzals, these are by far the worst. Only reason I kept using was because of principal that they had a 90 day warranty, kept hoping I would get one that would at least last a month. Gave one star , because in order to write review I think you have to. I'm 46 and this is the first review I have ever written, this product is so bad I felt I had too. DO NOT BUY August 5, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Finally! I can rip apart pallets in 10 - 15 minutes with out sacrificing any wood As a 4' 11" woman, finding tools that fit my hands and are not too heavy is often a challenge, especially for those tougher jobs. This saw is light enough for me to manage easily and has enough power to cut right through tough pallet nails. I purchased the saw solely to salvage pallet wood & after trying a few different methods of disassembly, cutting the pallet nails is the only method that doesn't splinter wood or sacrifice some board length (like using a jig saw or circular saw). Love my new saw! August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tough guy Originally got it to cut tree roots that had grown over ground since I heard you shouldn't use a chain saw in dirt. This tough guy worked perfect and I eventually ended up cutting the whole tree down with it. I also have a Ryobi corded drill for 5 years which has been through some tough jobs. For the price Roybi makes some great power tools! May 20, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst tool ever This tool broke after only using it a few times. The gears stripped and it stopped reciprocating. I took it to the nearest service repair center which took 4 weeks to repair. Used if for a week after getting it back and it broke again, same problem. I called the warranty number who refused to send a new saw or credit Home Depot for an exchange. They said it would have to go back to the service repair center which is 25 miles away. I have a few Ryobi battery tools, but I think I will switch brands. August 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Salwzall review Four $40-$60 cheaperthan it's more expensive, this saw performed amazingly well. No complaints and will buy Ryobi in the future September 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome Awesome love the way it cuts with ease would recommend to anyone that wants to buy a great saw September 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ryobi Reciprocating Saw Got it on sale. This thing works great for what I needed. Was a little worried it wouldn't perform but exceeded my expectation. August 30, 2016
