Answer:
A 12-amp saw running at full speed on a 110 volt circuit will use 1320 watts. As the speed slows, the wattage decreases. When the trigger is first pulled, there may be a slight increase in the 1320 full speed wattage, but it is only momentary.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 92 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't buy any ryobi I bought this saw in 2015 and used one time, after 6 months, when I started another project, it's down. I sent it to one of the ryobi designated warranty repair shop this April, the guy there told me ryobi is very bad on customer service. But I need got it repaired. So after 5months till now, the bad saw is still sitting at the shop waiting for parts! September 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Did the job.. Bought it to cut a pergola kit made of aluminum inserts with vinyl sleeves and it cut both types of material without any problem. August 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great saw! Great working saw! Easy blade replacement and tough enough for any application. The only con is that it could have an adjusting rest. October 18, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Biggest piece of junk Have gone through 12 of these in less than 6 months. First the guide breaks off, then the reciprocating internals stop reciprocating, don't bother unless you want to return/replace several times. I have been in business for almost 20 years, have had many different brands of sawzals, these are by far the worst. Only reason I kept using was because of principal that they had a 90 day warranty, kept hoping I would get one that would at least last a month. Gave one star , because in order to write review I think you have to. I'm 46 and this is the first review I have ever written, this product is so bad I felt I had too. DO NOT BUY August 5, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Extremely handy I love this tool. It may be one of my best purchases ever! I had spent hours and hours chopping and digging out roots, one by one over a period of a month. I bought this saw (and a pruning blade for an additional $5) and cut as many weeds in an hour as I had spent a month on previously. Some of the "weeds" were 2 inches thick and this saw cut them like butter. The only disadvantage is that it is a bit heavy and unwieldy close to the ground. Minor drawbacks considering how quickly and easily it cuts. September 15, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ryobi Reciprocating Saw Overall, the saw itself is really great in quality and value. The only problem I ran into was....the saw blade was too short. I could only trim small branches. So, I had to run out and get a longer blade to cut the bigger stumps. October 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Reciprocating Saw First one I have ever owned. It is comfortable and easy to operate. October 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tough guy Originally got it to cut tree roots that had grown over ground since I heard you shouldn't use a chain saw in dirt. This tough guy worked perfect and I eventually ended up cutting the whole tree down with it. I also have a Ryobi corded drill for 5 years which has been through some tough jobs. For the price Roybi makes some great power tools! May 20, 2016
