Hi Ray, unfortunately there is no way of knowing how long a battery will last, as a lot of that has to do with what type of work the drill is used on and how long of a period of time the drill is in use. Example 8 hour day 10 hour day, or much less. The manufacture can not stated a specific time a battery will last. This drill is for light work.

I have 2 batteries for this drill but I have lost my battery charger. I have gone into Home Depot but they do not carry the battery charger. Can a battery charger still be purchased for this drill? If so, where?

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 89 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst drill I've ever used DONT BUY THIS DRILL! From the get go, the batteries don't hold a charge for long enough to do anything of consequence. Now after owning this drill fro about a year, I have to charge it for 1 hour to get about 12 seconds of drill time. I'm not sure how this drill is still rated 4 stars on average? Did this just start becoming an issue in the last couple of years? June 7, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Both batteries are dead I bought this drill a few months ago and for a while it was great. However, now the batteries don't hold a charge making this drill useless February 7, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Overall Drill doesn't seem like 12V batteries won't charge takin it back today 1/19/2013 January 19, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by warning The worst drill i ever bought. the batteries last for only minutes, and they take 10+ hours to charge to get only minutes of service. They give you two batteries, so you will get enough time to screw maybe 12 2" screws into wood. Avoid this product at all costs. You have been warned. February 24, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not buy!! Horrible battery life and no power. I purchased this drill a few months a ago to replace and older one that had died. This drill is a huge dissapaapointment. This one won't tackle even the simplest of projects. i tried hanging a simple closet shelf...which consisted of three screws and had to charge the battery half way through. Two inch screws into a stud are too much for this drill. If you need to use a drill bit, forget it they don't lock in properly and pull out of the drill. Which is a ton of fun if it is half way into to a wall. i have owned several drills and this is by far the worst. January 4, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Ok drill for very light duty It's ok for very light duty task around the house but that's really about it, more of an electric screw driver then a drill really, the battery dies quickly and takes to long to recharge, for $50 A cheap 18v from HF or an actual electric screw driver would be a much better deal. If you need an actual drill spend a little more and get an entry level 18v. This thing would be a good deal for $20 and that's about it January 18, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great compact tool ! After buying and or trying many, many consumer level tools, I got lucky. This thing just feels right when you hold it. It is built like a tank, has good balance, and has impressive features for a home use product. This drill is on a higher level than ANY sub 50.00 I have found. The B&D and Skil products, while good, just don't feel right. Compared to the Ryobi HP512K or HP412K, they just feel flimsy and light. If you bought one of the other brands I mentioned ( which come with one battery ) and then bought the second battery, you would pay $ 65.00 +. This drill is for medium level work around the house, yet It feels like you could be forgiven if you took it to the job site. MUST HAVE ! December 25, 2008
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Wasted money I have never had a more useless power tool. Operates on full charge for only a few minutes. Had it for a long time before I used it or I would have returned to Home Depot. Can't believe Home Depot still sells it. They should discontinue. I contacted Ryobi and they had were no help, basically said we don't care.... Worse 50 bucks I ever spent. December 30, 2014
