Cuts through and finishes nice. No problem cutting through 8" branches. Great for clean up. Light Weight, easy to carry and use. I used this little chain saw to cut juniper trees down to the stump with little effort.
Very little as far as I'm concerned. The Bar and Chain oil will leak a little when stored. I put a cloth underneath it on top of my roll away. Not a drop on my tool box. After using it for maybe less than an hour I realized it uses a little oil but not too bad and the oil is less than $5 bucks a bottle and that one bottle will last a while as this is only for occasional use for me.

After some difficulty in charging the battery pack, the unit was used. It cut up to 6-7" logs with no problem. A moderate number of cuts can be made before the battery pack needed a recharge. In all fairness, one should see how the unit works after some time. Being new and not being familiar with the quirks of the unit may taint results. Still, overall, I am impressed with the utility of this chain saw. My goal was to find a unit which could be used for simple trimming. I have two larger gasoline-powered chainsaws and the larger one is too much for many of the little jobs which come up. The Ryobi seems to be a great unit to handle these chores.

Recommend this model over the new style. Much lighter and more compact. Easy to get into those hard to reach spots or if you want to use when climbing up in a tree.

When I bought this I was concerned about battery life, I can tell you that it will wear you out before you run out of battery. No electric chainsaw will be as powerful as a gasoline saw, but I have been cutting anything from 8 inch logs down to cutting up the brush With no trouble whatsoever . I easily cut down and cut up a 30 foot maple tree on one charge of the battery. I only use a chain saw a couple of times a year and I absolutely love the fact that I know this will start on the first pull of the trigger, and the gasoline will never go bad In storage. It is lightweight and extremely easy to handle, My wife feels very comfortable using this saw without fear. If you are a lumberjack, you need a big saw , but if you are a homeowner, you need this one! It will fully recharge in less than an hour. I highly recommend this product . .....Park

When I don't need the big chain saw, I pull out the little Robi cordless. It handles most jobs I have around the farm and it's light enough to take in muddy areas where the footing isn't always great. The battery doesn't last very long when cutting the larger logs, but I can burn through a fair amount of smaller ones with one charge. Even though the battery goes pretty quick on larger logs, it still cuts through them like butter. I love it! The oil lasts about as long as one battery life. I do wish I had gotten the larger battery though--I guess I know what to ask for for Christmas this year! It's even light enough for a man to use, if one were so inclined :)

Used it on a tree that blew over trimmed it all up on one charge and one tank of oil. Worked very well with the size and battery operated.

No problem setting up. Charge the battery and fill the chain oil reservoir, and away you go. So far, it cuts good, but haven't used it enough to see how long before the chain needs sharpening.
