Blade included?

Does the blade come included with saw, or sold separately?
Asked by: User1
Yes, but you won't want to use it. It's a good instrument at a great price. Use the savings to buy a good blade, you won't be disappointed.

Is this Ryobi Circular 71/4 saw brand new?

Does it have lazer guide as most of them do?
Asked by: Tallron
I did got a used one days ago, when I ordered it online and pickup at store. I got home and found the box had been opened before, and saw was covered with saw dust. Well, that's not a the problem, but when I searched the box inside, I couldn't find the blade wrench. I had to back to the store and ask for a change, that's really a waste of time.

If this is meant for cutting wood why does ot come with a blade for cutting metal?

Asked by: IrishmanD
Mine came with wood cutting blade. Not sure about the advertisement you saw but it definitely did not come with a metal cutting blade. I thought it was a really good buy.

After lots of hesitation, I bought this circular saw for the price and I now wish I had bought it sooner. I've used it for multiple projects and it feels great, easy to use, and cuts like a charm. No complaints here.

(+) it's inexpensive and great for lightweight projects where you don't have to be incredibly accurate - I'd recommend picking up a 40 tooth blade, regardless. (-) I tried cutting through a piece of 1.5" solid red oak and wasn't able to make it down 15 inches without blade veering off center considerably - used a metal well clamp vice as well, which did not move. The saw just simply isn't strong enough for it. So no, I wouldn't recommend this as if tough jobs are in the future and why shouldn't they be, this isn't worth the investment - ends up being a waste of space...invest in a stronger piece of equipment that will last longer.

I bought this little tool about 2 months ago to help me cut some dense IKEA melamine boards. Even after finally finding the appropriate size cutting wheel (64 teeth -the Home Depot expert had suggested 100+, which IKEA boards are too dense for) there was a lot of smoke, jamming, back-kicking. The tool generally felt flimsy and underpowered for the task. I think this is probably a fine tool for cutting 2x4s and the like, but for long 1/16 or 1/32 precise cuts, you either need a cutting table or a better saw. I ended up returning this product and going with a much more expensive Makita, which has performed admirably, instead.

If it did not come with a Ryobi blade, it would be an easy 5 stars. If you want a serious saw, spend the money on a serious saw. If you are a weekend warrior in the garage, buy this and spend the money you save on a good set of blades, you'll be happy you did.
