Rated 5 out of 5Â by Gunsmoke This saw is light and easy to handle. Cuts through whatever I have attempted. I use rough lumber and had no problem.
I have purchased Ryobio tools before...and they were just average. But this saw is what I needed. Lightweight and has enough power to go through rough lumber.

I decide to finally go away from my cordless, since I have started to do a lot of remodel projects on my home. This saw appears to be a good quality unit, but a lot of the internal parts are plastic. If all I was doing was ripping a few boards then this saw would be fine, but any continues work will overheat this unit. I bought it and was using it continuously for about 10 minutes and the internals started to melt and smoke poured out the side. All I smelt was burnt plastic. If you are doing a small project or just cutting some lumber this saw will be fine, but it is not designed for heavy use. I took the unit back and bought the 15 amp Ridgid saw and it also comes with a lifetime service warranty. If you are doing a lot of projects and need a good saw spend the extra $40 and get the Ridgid. If you are just doing small projects then the Ryobi should be fine. I hope this helps anybody trying to make a decisions.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Johnny A nice purchase!
I've only used this drill a few times but I am completely satisfied with it so far. I really appreciate the light weight which was my primary goal when looking for a saw, and the price was also what I was looking for. For use around the house it should be a great value for years to come..

I bought this saw brand new. It is great for small cuts like 2x4's but on bigger jobs like 2x10's or 3/4 inch plywood it is way under powered. Im off to spend a little more $ and buy a quality saw.
