Answer:
Yes it does, you only have to put in the batteries for the laser. If you cant handle that then you probably shouldn't be using a saw.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 189 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Just buy it already Pros: The built-in laser allowed very precise cuts. Lightweight and easy to carry. Very sharp blade! Cuts through wood studs like butter. Stops spinning within 3 seconds. Base swivels up to 45 degrees, left and right. Works well, handles well. For small to medium sized projects, this saw will not disappoint you. So just buy it already Cons: Can only tilt blade to the LEFT for angled cuts. Only about 50% of the saw dust goes into the bag. August 4, 2011
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good saw, lousy laser! I bought this saw to cut PVC deck rail. And, out of the box the laser was not in-line with the saw blade. I attempted to adjust it using the instructions only to find that it was even worse when I fiddled with it. 45 min later, I had things pretty much back to where they started . . . off line with the saw. I should have returned it on the spot, but I didn't have the time. I did most of my project with this saw, and returned it in favor of the Rigid 10 in miter saw. I figured if I was going to the trouble of exchanging it, I may as well upgrade, too. Bottom line: Would I recommend this saw? Oddly, yes. It's a good saw for the price. Just do a good job of lining up the blade to the fence and the table (a lesson I learned the hard way . . .) and if yours has a better laser, then you're good to go! June 1, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 1 of my best purchases I was veey happy that I purchased this saw. It was at a very good price and it works great. Its easy to carry around and I'm able to make good and exact cuts. August 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this saw I was borrowing my dad's miter saw and it was stolen out of my garage, so when I bought a new one to replace his, this is the one I bought. I used it to cut baseboards throughout my house, and upon giving the saw back to my Dad, I decided to buy one for myself. I've now used it on a few other projects and love it. It's easy to adjust the angles and the laser coms in handy for sure. January 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome saw I had wanted a saw of this type for a while. Shopped around a bit and found this one. Out of the box it was square, laser was right on the mark (I know not always the case). Awesome saw for the value and size. I'm a DIY handyman around my house and others homes and this saw comes through. I will buy another blade for some of the other smaller more delicate tasks. September 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Grate tool grate price Good tool gets the job done light easy to move around December 10, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Essential for DIY-ers VERY glad I went with a miter saw with a Laser. Once you've squared your saw and calibrated the Laser (should be spot on or very very close right out of the box anyway), the Laser is an awesome time saver and convenience. For the price, this is a great value miter saw. I'm just a weekend DIYer without any professional training / experience and this is my first miter saw so I don't have much to compare to. That being said, I have no show-stopping complaints yet. The included clamp to secure your material was a little more cumbersome than I cared for so I just remove it when working. Similar to other reviews, the dust bag genuinely doesn't function as intended. There's little to no saw dust going in. Just prepare for a lot of saw dust typical of any sawing. And one missing feature would be to have extension supporting arms on other side of the table like the Ryobi Sliding miter saw. I used this saw to make tons of cuts (1x3, 1x4, and 2x2 pine wood) to make a set of Bunk Beds and was SO glad I had it. HUGE time saver...doing all that cutting with a circular saw would've taken forever. This miter saw zips right through. The blade brake is a nice feature as the saw quickly stops after each cut so you can slide the material through for the next cut. Includes a 20-tooth saw blade which provides clean edges without hardly any shredding. For finer wood projects, I'm sure a 40 or 60-tooth blade would be better. For a small DIYer who still wants a quality product that works very well, this saw at this price is tough to beat. And I spent a couple weeks price & feature comparing...and I'm very happy with my choice! March 4, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by NIce value miter saw Good lightweight design, easy to carry from basement. Had issue with setting rip fence to get better than 92 degree cuts. Had to extend slots on guides to achieve proper alignment. Laser sight very hard to see in bright sunlight, and it had to be both slotted for R/L alighment (design slot not wide enough) and the angle was off so it had to be shimmed with 0.020" shims. Once "tuned up" it works perfectly. Plenty of torque and very smooth cuts with 24 tooth Carbide blade. Dust bag option catches about 10% of sawdust, if lots of cutting (or inside) you could probably hook up a small shop vac to back of unit quite easily. 10" version fills all my needs. July 19, 2014
