Does this include laser guide?

Asked by: Acac1278
Yes. However some of these have a design flaw in that you must remove the 'Laser adjustment' cover to reveal the actual TWO adjustment screws. Mine purchased 3/15/2017 model number TS1345L has this flaw.

I bought this saw and a HomeCraft of the same size and power and it turns, it is literally the same exact saw in different colors..... Everything is dead on the same and to the point I've interchanged most parts and everything looked, fit, and worked perfectly. The reason I am giving this saw 2 stars versus 3 (as I did on the homecraft) is because this saw is more expensive, and it's the same. The saw cuts fairly well but tends to be a little off and needs some tightening and adjusting. For the money it's decent but for $10 more you can get a very nice hitachi that blows this one out of the water.

The miter settings are accurate and easy to set. The three areas that the saw can use improvement are the laser guide, the work clamp and the dust collector. The laser is incredibly difficult to see if you are using the saw outside. I was not in direct sunlight yet the laser was nearly invisible. The "work clamp" has a pivoting plate on its end which is supposed to be held to the adjustable clamp with a clip. Every time that I would tighten the clamp on a piece of molding the clip would come off and the plate fell off rendering it useless. The dust collection bag just outright does not collect any of the sawdust. The sawdust flies everywhere like when using a circular saw.

Good for rough cuts but don't expect a perfect 90 degree cut. I've made adjustments to the fence and blade but it doesn't help. Dust collection bag is useless but all of them seem to be. Motor quits after starting to cut and the blade brake malfunctions making this an unsafe tool to use after light use and two years of ownership. Disappointing.

Laser guide is a little variable, but close enough for my purposes. Would be nice to have two clamps instead of the one that comes with it, but that can be worked around. Strong, cuts pretty clean, easily adjusted, does the job.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Did the job Used it for trim, baseboard etc. laser was completely sideways. Tried to line it up. Didn't work. Just used old fashion way of lining it up. Great saw for the price. Sawdust bag is useless...whatever. Aren't they all?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality control before leaving factory Bought this and straight off the bat like someone else I have a laser line that rotates when the saw is running. The lens is not securely fixed up with the laser module and clearly no one is doing quality control checks at the manufacturing plant before they box up the items and give them the ok. I have submitted a support ticket with ryobi and as yet have not heard anything back from the, needless to say I won't be buying anymore of their products again if the quality control is overlooked and the customer service response is so slow and lacking.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value for the price Just needed an easy to set up and use miter saw for cutting 2x4 and smaller and this saw certainly delivers. I did not need this saw for daily use just weekend projects, making shelves etc! The Saw blade that came with it cut through 2x4 with ease. It didn't get the five stars because of the laser guide, it's very weak to see the light even when working inside a garage area. If your into DIY around the house this will definitely suit your needs.

I do fixate on the fact that to zero and adjust the blade to the laser line for angle cuts is a bit difficult, it is not impossible. The guide clamp does not allow for holding down stock wider than 4 inches. But up to now I have easily cut: 4x4's, 2x6's, 2x4's,and 1x3's. Would definitely recommend for the weekend DIY warriors. Ah yes, consider buying a shopvac for the sawdust.
