Even after charging overnight the battery lasts 15 minutes at full throttle. My wife or I use it almost every day due to the convenience to blow leaves, Colorado dust and stuff off patio, back deck, drive and from around garage doors. We keep the charger on far kitchen counter and blower can be kept anywhere due to no gas fumes and no filthy extension cords. If you put a hot battery in charger it will flash lights and never charge until you take it out and slide back into charger. Quirky but so handy you use it often rather than wait til it becomes a major project. Almost as powerful as an electric plugin unit but only for 15 min.

Blower works pretty well, but not as powerful as the gas blower it replaced. After almost a year the battery charger quit working, still under warranty. I returned it to a local Ryobi authorized repair center and they ordered a new charger. Still waiting a month later and not able to use the blower. I have since repaired my gas powered blower and have been using it instead. If I had it to do over I would not have purchased this blower and probbaly would ave bought another gas powered blower instead.

Much quieter and more powerful than expected. Battery life is adequate for my use, and recharges relatively fast.

This blower has good power for moving grass and debris off of concrete and cleaning up after mowing.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jason So far so good, but the battery on my 1mo old 40v Ryobi trimmer isn't working.
I like it. Mainly bought it for a spare battery, which is fortunate as my trimmer battery stopped working after less than a month. Fully charged, doesn't work. And, thank you Ryobi, for not having any sort of FAQ or Troubleshooting resource.
Taking it back to Home Depot today to see if they will just do a swap and not put me through some ridiculous return process.
Still, all that aside, I've loved the quality and power of my trimmer (and edger attachment) and blower.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Doug Best customer service!!!!!
I had issues with the charging system of the 40 volt blower. I returned the unit to Home Depot for a refund. I had written a review of how I was not satisfied with this product. I was contacted by Vicki of Ryobi's customer care division within a week, asking what they could do to correct the situation. A couple of emails later, a replacement unit was shipped to me. The replacement unit is working great. I was truly impressed with Ryobi's follow up, can't remember ever being contacted by a manufacturer asking why, and what they could do to make a customer happy.
Thanks Vicki and Ryobi!!!!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AverageJoe Very convenient
I use it all the time because it's so convenient.
My gas blower: fill with gas, then move the choke, prime 7 times, pull cord 5 times, move choke, prime again, pull cord twice. Then sometimes start over.
This battery powered blower: charge while I mow, then insert the battery and squeeze the trigger.
I have corner lot and I can blow clipping off the entire sidewalk and have plenty of battery left to blow water off the car or bike after washing it, blow leaves out of the garage, etc.
No, it's not as powerful as gas, but it's much lighter, much quieter and so convenient that I use it far more often than my gas one.
Plus, ethanol gasoline is destroying small engines in as little as 3 years. Now I don't have to worry about that.
