Like the previous reviewer, I have found this to be better than I expected. I have the 40v weed whip, the chain saw, and the hedge trimmer. I'm going to now Craig's List my collection of Echo gas powered tools. These Ryobi 40v tools work great. I have about 1/4 acre yard with lots of trees and bushes. Here in Southern California where water is dear, I use this blower to clean all my patios, sidewalks and my driveway. Great leaf and grass trimming blower as well. keep just two batteries and one charger. Each battery easily lasts me through two weeks of work using the tools for general maintenance. The second battery is there for those more demanding days of tree trimming. Recharge is well before the second battery runs out.

I purchased this to replace a corded blower. I already had the ryobi 40v string trimmer and this uses the same battery so it made sense. I have a small to medium yard and this works great for clearing gutters, sidewalks, driveways and decks. I live in a wet area so it just does okay on wet leaves in the grass. I expected that when I purchased this though. It seems to use the battery up a bit faster than the string trimmer but that might just be because I use it so much. I used to dread breaking out the corded blower but now if a leaf so much as touches the deck I'm grabbing the Ryobi and cleaning things up.
I'm now considering the hedge trimmers that work with this system since this string trimmer and the blower have met or exceeded my expectations. This review might turn to a 5 star if it holds up over time.

Nice little Blower for the price. I already had the charger and the Standard Battery. I previously purchased the Extended Life Battery and it is well worth the extra money. I can blow off my roof and 65 feet long patio with no problem on the Extended Life Battery.
Although I do not think I will be able to blow all the leaves in my yard into one large pile, I do believe it will blow most of them into smaller piles without much effort. Probably after at least 2 charges anyway.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by williejack Great blower!
I was skeptical about this purchase. I have a two-speed electric blower with a high speed of 255 mph, but I was tired of messing with extension cords. This seemed to be the most powerful (cfm) reasonably priced cordless blower I could find, and it used the same 40 volt battery that my cordless Ryobi mower uses, so I thought I'd give it a try. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! It does a super job of clearing my patio, garage, driveway, front porch, etc. with plenty of battery life to spare. It does every bit as good a job as my corded blower but I don't have to drag around an extension cord! Very happy with this blower and highly recommend it.

I am generally pleased with the blower. Freedom from a cord is the reason I purchased. There is plenty of power. Also like the variable speed control. Battery life on full power is about 20 minutes, this can be increased by not using full power all the time. I use it mainly for my driveway and sidewalks which I blow after mowing my lawn, very handy. My yard is heavily treed so in leaf season I would revert to my corded blower, using the battery blower for a supplement.

I dont care how small your job is, this leaf blower WILL run out of battery at least 2 times if you are lucky. Highly recommend getting a leaf blower that will plug into the wall or have a longer battery life.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Festus Kinda funny people gripe about the cost of extra batteries . . .
When you can get a second blower, charger and BATTERY for $50 more than the cost of the battery. Plus, the trio will likely be on sale for even less at some point. That's the time to get an "extra" battery!
