CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 100 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Powerful, Quiet & Easy to Use Got this blower along with the Ryobi Electric Trimmer and both have far exceeded our expectations. This blower is just as powerful as my old gas unit that died and I no longer have to fuss with gas, oil, or trying to start or winterize it. The battery (full size) lasts long enough for me to all the trimming and blowing on my 0.25 acre double corner lot. My only complaint is that the battery release was poorly designed and isn't the easiest to use. I would not hesitate to buy again in the future or recommend to a friend. May 22, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent blower! I have the original ryobi 40v blower, which did the job, but lacked good power. This new 40v blower has impressive power, variable speed, depending on how much you squeeze the trigger, and lasts for about 20 to 30 minutes on a full charge. I now have the 40v edger, weed eater, hedge trimmer, and blower, and couldn't be happier with the whole line up. I'm actually hoping my mower will die so I can buy the ryobi 40v mower as well. Then I will be completely battery powered. No more gas and oil, or electric cords to slow me down and aggravate me. I actually enjoy yard work again. Thanks Ryobi! Great products! July 6, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Handy for small jobs This tool does what they claim it will do. But there are some drawbacks. First it goes through a battery charge in a short time.. maybe 20 minutes. Second air velocity is one thing and air volume is another. The air coming out may be 155 mph but there isn't much of it compared to a gasoline blower. So it takes you longer to do the same job. What I like about it? It is light weight and very easy to use. For a small job you can pick it up and use it instantly (assuming a charged battery). I usually turn it off when I am not actually doing a blowing job.... something I wouldn't do with my gasoline model. This saves battery charge. I have two other Ryobi 40V tools so I can interchange batteries. Overall the system is great. August 26, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Portable and useful, but not as powerful It would be a five star if it can be more powerful. Another issue is that it uses up a 40-volt battery in just about 10 minutes. I have 4 battery packs charged, in order to make it meaningful to blow leaves from my front yard to the road curb. It is useful and portable, and has no machanical or electrical problem throughout the leaves blowing season. December 25, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by this product vs the more expensive one yes I would but not the package I got with buying the battery and charger separate cost than buying the more expensive one, just buy that more expensive one you pay less money. April 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by own most all of ryobi products, all are super, the blower works great, was very surprised how much power it has. all tools are lite, powerful, and do the job, very pleased with the performance. April 21, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works great! I purchased this blower without battery since I already had 2 batteries from the string trimmer and lawn mower in the 40V line. As with the others 40V devices, it performs well and has great power. I saw other reviews where people stated the battery only lasts 10-15 minutes total, but I used it for about 10 minutes at varying speeds and the battery only lost 1 LED of power (there are 4 LEDs). I guess if you ran it wide open all the time it might not last, but I didn't see a need for running it wide open all the time as my grass is pretty short. My yard is only 2/3 acre so I think two battery charges would be enough to leaf blow that space. February 13, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works as advertised. A great tool in that it really moves the leaves. The only drawback for me is the battery discharges in about 20 minutes of use. The batteries are expensive, so do not really relish purchasing a number of them. November 1, 2014
