This battery powered lawnmower is great for my backyard lawn, which is about 25 ft x 50 ft. It only uses half the battery, and then I use the battery on the line edger and blower to finish the job. Well worth it. The only drawback is to do it when the grass is dry, because if the lawn get long and it a bit wet from morning dew, it can bog down the blades and not throw the grass into the catcher. But that is not a big deal. Just wait till the grass drys! I love this machine. Quiet, efficient, and does a beautiful job. Had to buy this online, as it was not in stores. But it came to my house quickly.

We ordered the lawn mower online with the edger. We had it delivered to the store. Picked it up and it sat about week before we used it. It actually cut very well. We mowed our front and back lawn and still had a lot of battery life left. However, we noticed the front tire was hanging off. It was has a hassle taking it back into store. They had to credit our account wait for it to credit back to our card then we can reorder another or if we didn't want to to wait buy another one. Not happy. I gave 3 stars because it did cut well just hoping that tire was defected mower. Because of the cut I would recommend to a friend.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Tom Nice, small battery operated mower.
This mower is ideal for small lawns and, at only 16 lbs. it's easy to transport. The battery lasts one hour if cutting a normal lawn. but only half an hour in difficult cutting (really tall grass). I bought the mower with a battery and charger and have been able to use them with a weed trimmer from the same company. I've only had the mower for two months but so far, so good.

So I have used our new mower and thus far for my small yard it works as expected. I live in a town house and our front and back yard are not large. The battery holds its charge for a long period of time for what I need it for. If my yard was larger i would opt. for the wider version but the 16" fits our need.

I have told others about the Ryobi mower. It is the perfect solution for my needs. I have a small fenced in backyard that my dog uses for her bathroom. She doesn't like the grass too high. It was a pain in the neck taking a big gasoline powered mower out to do such a small job (50' X 30'). This mower does the job in just a few minutes with no problem. Great product. I already had the Ryobi 40V trimmer, battery and charger. A brilliant decision to make the lawnmower work with the same battery - that was the clincher for me to buy the lawnmower.

Although the product is light, easy to start, much better for my back, I would not recommend it to anybody with a yard any bigger than a postage stamp. The first battery I received was defective and Home Depot was able to diagnose the charger and battery and sent me on my way. My first mowing of my 10 x 40 yard, left it unfinished as I ran out of battery. I had just taken the battery off the charger and it was fully charged. The mower was set on "4." Today I walked fast and finished just before it went dead. I suggest buying extra batteries if your yard is very big. When I called Ryobi, they said I could expect only 15-20 minutes of battery life.

Just got this, so far drained two batteries and waiting on one to charge so I can finish my front yard. Otherwise, it cuts well and doesn't take much effort to use.

I previously left a scathing review for this product. I have been using it since that first now which did go poorly. I think I had to charge the battery five times in total to complete the mow of my yard even at the highest setting. However, my lawn was overgrown (we moved into a new house and hadn't purchased a lawn mower yet). Since the inaugural mow, it has had more longevity during each session and will either last the entire now or will only need a second charge. I purchased a second battery and that more or less mitigated the charging issue. I wish the mower had a bit more longevity for tough grass but it seems to be working ok for maintenance. Just don't expect it to be able to do heavy duty work and I would buy a second battery.
