Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by domii Best pressure washer under $200 I've seen
After going through 2 Karchers in the last two years, and reading the reviews on all the other under $200 Pressure washers available at the major retailers, that all look like the came from the same factory in China, I decided to give this Ryobi a try.
Pretty impressive machine so far. And cheap considering what you get, very good quality parts and well engineered, very close to a good commercial gas powered machine.
I like that it comes with 3 nozzles, and everything has a place on this machine. An actual detergent tank rather than some cheap plastic tube.
The all-aluminum pump sold it for me, I hope it lasts longer than what I've experienced with others that have the plastic pumps, that always seem to crack and leak.

After owning 3 such machines in the past 5 years and having different issues that were too costly to repair, I researched most units on the market and came across this affordable little machine that seems to address all of my concerns. While I cannot vouch for durability, the two accessories most likely to break, the wand and the pressure hose, have standard couplings that makes them easy and cheap to replace with generic parts (they do break, especially in cold weather, and most manufacturers only guarantee them for 90 days).
Only used it a couple of times and it performed well, there's enough pressure to handle any job for the average homeowner and the bonus Turbo Nozzle is great for cleaning cedar decks or washing the car.

This Ryobi feels solid and well engineered.
I would recommend to the engineers however to have quick connects on the hose (the one in the back is hard to reach) and to have a removable detergent dispenser. There is no way to empty it if you want to use another type of detergent.
I have used a 1500 psi 1.3 gpm washer. This 1700 psi 1.2 gpm Ryobi does a much nicer job and, on cleaning the deck boards again, they were twice as clean as the job done by the other washer. It also cleaned a deck chair that the other could not.
It is nice that it takes standard nozzle tips.
I love the design. It is easy to roll up the hose and electrical cable, easy to move it, and it would be difficult to tip over.
For the $169 price you get a 3 year warranty and can buy another year from home Depot for $15. Amazing! If you read other reviews you will notice some of other electric pressure washers are reported to have failed after a year or two.

After using for a few hours, I was ready to give this a 5/5, until I noticed oil leaking from the pump. Seems like a blown gasket or something. Not good. Returning this one.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DonAlex2 Worth every penny. Perfect size for a family with everyday tasks and saves you money.
We spent a couple of months off and on being discourage by the $300+ models. We needed something that would clean our cars, the patio and house siding (everyday type tasks) so that's why we thought the $300+ model would fit the bill. After looking further, we saw a lot of good reviews on the Ryobi 1700-PSI electric pressure washer and took the chance and bought it. It's been a couple of months owning it and we're very pleased. It has great features. Comes with all the nozzle attachments necessary to clean/wash the patio, wash the siding of the house and get the dirt and grime off our cars. Washing our cars was especially important living in Colorado. After heavy snows we get a lot of dirty slush and snow on our vehicles. It comes off with ease with the yellow nozzle for medium pressure which doesn't affect the paint job, but does the job like a commercial car wash. We now save money not having to pay $10 to $15 a pop at the car wash. Another great feature is the cord to plug it in is very long. We are able to plug it in our garage and pull it all over the driveway and patio. Additionally, with it being electric we don't have to worry about purchasing gas and it's lubed to last a lifetime so there's literally no maintenance. Just keep it clean and it runs. Lastly, the most important feature for us was the portability. It's the right size to tuck it away in our garage. Very happy we made this purchase.

At $75 per four hour rental session, I figured I would pay for this in two sessions. But thought I would lose something in the process. I was pleasantly surprised to see the result of my entire rear yard in about the equivalent of four rental sessions.
We don't know why we didn't do it sooner! Now I want to pressure wash the entire neighborhood.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by tonejon Great results for $160
Read many of the recent reviews and was skeptical about this Ryobi at this price point. I needed to clean a 20'x10' concrete patio. The box said this unit was not rated for concrete -but to my surprise this little guy cut right through years of dirt on concrete with ease. I used the (black) turbo nozzle and finished the job in about 2.5 hours, running the electric motor full on. I like the motor cut off feature when you release the spray trigger. This unit is small enough yet powerful enough for general around the house cleaning. We'll see if it makes the 6mos stretch, or longer -I sure hope so.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Jdiry DO NOT BUY. POOR QUALITY STRAIGHT OUT FROM BOX.
I ordered one of these power washer and it came in the mail yesterday. I took it right out from the box today to use it, and am appalled by the poor quality.
As soon as I turned on the water after attaching the hose to the spray gun and washer unit, one end of the spray hose completely came loose ONLY ON MY GARDEN HOSE PRESSURE. The unit wasn't even turned on!
Upon closer inspection, I could see that the barbed fitting totally came loose from the hose. This is very poor quality and design, since there was no retention of any kind on the barbed fitting. I've attached a picture for reference.
I'm returning this item right back to Home Depot.
