Finally a cordless stapler that runs off of batteries and works well. For the price you cannot beat it, and with a 3 year warranty, that makes it better yet. I install fence and it will shoot into hard locust posts with no problem. I would definetly recommend.

Excellent and simple to use. Would be better with high capacity battery since a major job could be lessened due to battery time

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JWoods82 Great Tool and a Great Deal!!!
Well to start off, I have seen a few reviews that complain about the cost of this stapler and the cost of buying batteries and a charger to go with it....well here's the answer to those problems. This kit is a great deal if you're just starting out with Ryobi tools or if you already own some. For only $10 more than the stapler alone you get the stapler, a battery and the intelliport charger. I wanted the stapler and I already have plenty of lithium ion batteries, but I did need another charger so I couldn't pass this package up. The stapler works great. I took it out of the box and put in some 1" staples and set the depth adjustment and air pressure settings to halfway. I figured it might not be able to sink the staples into 2" oak with the settings at those points. Well I was wrong. This stapler surprised the heck out of me! Not only was it able to punch the staples in one after another, it seemed effortless for this thing. My pneumatic narrow crown staplers are not as good as this cordless one. They are always somewhat inaccurate when it comes to the depth settings of the staples...one is high, the next is perfect, the next is too deep, etc. I shot 100 staples back to back with this cordless stapler and every one of them was the same depth as the one before it. All I can say is it just works great! Ryobi has a winner with this one. Ryobi tools jus seem to get better and better.

I'm a penny pincher at heart so I've been waiting for this cordless stapler to go on sale and when I saw the kit show up I grabbed it. I also purchased the two-pack of 4ah batteries because of the reviews from some other people that the compact lithium batteries are insufficient. As soon as I received it, I plugged the charger in and charged up all three of my batteries (two big ones plus the compact that came with it). The charger worked exactly as promised, with all three batteries fully charged in less than 90 minutes.
Yesterday, my wife and I were putting up vinyl lattice around our 440 sq ft deck as well as replacing approximately 20 dog-eared fence panels. The staple gun worked nearly flawlessly, no jams and no misfires. The only hiccup was one time it didn't fire, yet when I removed the cover to clear what I thought was a jam, there was nothing there. I replaced the cover, removed and reinserted the battery and it worked like a champ from then on. I went a little nuts with it and probably put 600 staples through it for the lattice and fence. I did burn through one of the big batteries about 90% of the way through the job so I will count on getting at least 500 staples per battery.
The only nit-pick I have is that it's heavy, especially with the extended use battery. That being said, the weight is a minor inconvenience when compared to lugging around an air compressor, hoses, etc.
Having owned mainly Ridgid and Craftsman tools in the past, I can now say I'm at least willing to give other Ryobi tools a shot, especially if they perform as well as the stapler. Now if they'd just put the cordless 18 and 16 gauge brad nailers on sale, I'd be in heaven!
