Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bigjer Sure beats pumping up a bike tire to 90#s by hand!!!
I ride bike every day. So many times when I went to take my bike off the carrier, I noticed that the tires were softer than optimal. I used to pump them up with a small hand pump.......but getting them to 90#s was quite a task. Since purchasing this Ryobi 18-Volt One Plus Cordless Inflator, I set the pressure I want and watch the pressure increase rapidly to the proper pressure for efficient rolling. I have topped off my tires, along with my wife's, more than 20 times......all on the first battery, and it's still going strong!!! GET ONE!!!!!

I bought this for checking our travel trailer tires since it is not easy to get to pumps when traveling and we use the Ryobi drill for out trailer jacks. One charger and battery to cover both needs. It works great and you just set the pressure and it shuts off automatically. I checked it against our dial tire gage and it was right on. Did the truck and trailer, 8 tires easily without recharging. How often to do you check your spare tire pressure? Take this along and don't worry.

I bought this to use with my RV and pickup. Since it is rated to 150 PSI, I felt it would do the job. The first one began rattling and sounding like it was going to self destruct after about 4 tires. I brought it back and exchanged it. The new one made it through 1 tire and part of the second one before starting to smoke. I decided that was enough so I am returning it. A great idea that is simply under powered for the intended use. May be good for bicycles but not for vehicles.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by WillyJ This is a very light duty unit.
I think they are a good unit if you are very careful with them. I burned out the first one pumping up my pickup tires. Then I read the instructions and it said not to run it over 10 minutes without letting it cool. I don't think that I ran it over 10 minutes but probably didn't let it cool enough between tires. It started making a horrible sound and just quit.
Anyway I like the idea of them enough that I got a second one. I've got the 4AMP batteries for my other Ryobi 18v tools. I think the blower will be great for blowing up air mattresses and a rubber boat. I have inflated a few tires with it but I don't let it run over 5 minutes without stopping it. If the tire is low it usually takes 2 sessions to get it up to 35lbs.
Anyway I think it's a unique battery operated tool and it is good if you are careful not to overheat it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Roadhand The perfect inflator
I bought the Ryobi Inflator after watching several videos and they were exactly right. Nothing could be easier to use.
Follow the instruction simply insert a 18v Ryobi battery choose whether you are inflating a air mattress or tire. If it's a tire set the desired pressure adding 1psi to cover loss when disconnecting. Turn it on and walk away as it will automatically turn off when done.
The inflator when used to inflate a kiddie pool or a air mattress is even better as it can also deflate getting out that last little bit of trapped air that always seem to remain.
Yes , I would diffidently recommend particularly if you already have the Ryobi 18v + one system.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by hpiguy awesome inflator for multiple uses
Like others have said, this is a great cordless inflator.
I use it to quickly fill my large river raft, inflatable kayak, truck tires, trailer tires, etc. It works on them all.
I absolutely LOVE that I can set the pressure, have it start and walk away for a second and let it run. When it reaches the pressure, it shuts off on it's own. That feature alone is worth the price.
If you are looking for an inflator for the pool toys or something to keep the tires on the car/truck at the right pressure and already own the Ryobi 18V batteries, this tool is the ticket.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by detredwingsfan Fast Inflator for Tires!
I use this P731 Inflator with the 18v Lithium Ion batteries and it does an excellent and fast job of inflating truck and trailer tires. I was really surprised at how fast it inflated some trailer tires from 35 to 50 psi. And I really like the autoshutoff feature for filling tires. The digital gauge appears to be a couple psi high compared to my pro tire gauge. I set the digital gauge to 50 psi but it only inflated the tire to 47-47.5 psi. My pro gauge is accurate to +/- 1 psi. So I would recommend comparing the final pressure to a known accurate gauge and then just adjusting for that difference.
Overall a really good portable inflator.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mike It's super light, need I say more!?
My family has eight cars, a motorcycle, a couple bikes, a wheel barrel, and a couple hand trucks. It was always such a chore to get out my pancake compressor (40 lbs), the air hose, and the extension cord just to fill air in these tires... I hated it!
When I saw this ryobi compressor I had to have it! It's so darn light and so easy to use! It even has a built in pressure gauge that will shut off 1 psi higher than what you set it for (incase it takes you a few seconds to release the hose from the valve) pretty smart! We have two work vehicles that use I think 56psi and this compressor has no problems!
It even has a quicker low pressure adapter for filling balls and air mattresses, even has the fill adapters for balls and such mounted on the side!
The digital Guage makes setting pressure super easy and can be changed between American/European measurements.
It is such a pleasure to use and I have used it over 40 times and it still works perfectly!
