Answer:
It has one LED bulb, that does both the high and low settings.
There are other lanterns by other manufacturers that have three LEDs and are brighter, but cost a lot more, and eat up expensive alkaline D-cells. Using these rechargeable lithium batteries that also work in a whole bunch of other tools avoids that. For my purposes (emergency lighting when the power is out, etc.), 130 lumens is great.

This light only has one LED bulb in it. However, it is fairly bright. I would like to see more on the next generation. Maybe they could be CREE LEDs too.

It has one very bright led. It has 2 settings, low and high. The battery is the standard Ryobi one+.
One word of warning though, don't look directly at it while on the high setting. It's VERY bright

There are several battery chargers available from a single battery charger to a six station battery charger.
There is also an AM/FM radio that will charge the batteries.
Personally I like the AM/FM radio it is more than a battery charger its portable entertainment.

Answer:
You should never need to replace the LED and the lamp is not designed to be user serviced. However if you are like me and have an idea to change the LED to a brighter, better quality light be prepared to break some innards and replace circuits. Check Youtube there is a video showing how difficult it is to open.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dependable light when you need one Where we live, we lose electricity fairly regularly. We now have 3 workshop lights. They have always performed when we needed them. May 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Value Works as well as the expensive lights. I would recommend this. May 10, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by the ryobi man I live in a country area where the electricity drops on a regular basis & I have a good ryobi tool selection & a good supply of 18 volt batteries. This light si much better than the lanterns we have been using. Thank you ryobi. Once again you've came to my rescue. thanks May 3, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very handy It's not as bright as I hoped but it has a stable base and provides an adequate amount of light when working in dark areas. It's small enough to fit in tight spaces. The big plus of course is that it uses the standard Ryobi +One batteries so you always have a light available April 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great light to have handy all over! What a great light to have around the house as emergency/ standby April 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Had one for years , still works great Bought the light not long after it came out , used it for camping, when the power knocks out , kids love it as a night light and also use it to take to the bus stop on those dark mornings , battery lasts forever just charge when you get a chance , the strap on the top broke on one side about 2 months ago ( thanks to the kids slinging it around , it's pretty tough ) but IF IT EVER DIES , I WILL BUY ANOTHER ONE , if you already have Ryobi Batteries this is a great light to have when you need it , hope my review helps make your choice easier February 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Used it for two hours straight... ...and lantern performed admirably. I think it depends on the battery connected to it, however very satisfied. March 9, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good light It is a good light for seeing around you in a room or outside. Not a beam of light. Will light up the area around you. March 8, 2016
