Will these work with the 16 in. Cordless lawn mower?

Asked by: LadyMcDerp
Based upon the pictures that I have seen for the Ryobi 18 volt cordless lawn mower, it does not look like that battery is in the ONE+ line of tools, so I would say no. Regardless, if this battery did fit, this battery would not be a good one to use as its capacity is likely too low to run the lawn mower for a reasonable period of time. Higher capacity batteries are better for the higher draw of the lawn mower. The best option would be to remove the battery in the lawn mower and take it to a Home Depot to get either a replacement or spare battery. Many cordless lawn mowers have the option of an easily removed battery so that a spare can be swapped in with limited effort. Make sure that this is the case for both charging and easy swapping before buying an extra spare. Good luck!

Asked by: Jan
According to the SDS listed here, these are Model P102, but the specs are the same as the P103, 24Wh, or 1.3Ah, so it will be compatible. I'm getting a pair at this price!!

If I order batteries online are they newer than the ones at the stores or are the ones sold online old stock?
Asked by: Carl
As rechargeable batteries the shelf life does make them weaker. The trick to rechargeable batteries is to insure they are fully charged before their first use. If possible they need to be fully discharged each time before applying a new charge.

I have purchased Ryobi tools for both at work and at home and the tools are great, however these batteries are junk. I have a total of four at home and two at work and NONE of them will charge anymore. Two of my personal batteries were replaced with a lot of hassle from both home depot and ryobi only to last less than a year. They are supposed to have a three year warranty but it is such a hassle to try and get them to honor it its not worth it.

I have several Ryobi batteries and chargers as I have 7 tools that are Ryobi that use the same batteries. I am going to return the batteries recently purchased because they do not charge in any of the chargers I have. When they are plugged in the chargers the red light comes on and the green light never does and they don't charge. As a result, I haven't been able to use either battery.

I have had up to 4 Ryobi one+ lithium batteries fail after the first charge in the past 2 years. Even using different chargers and getting them checked by a batteries are us specialist, I find them to be complete garbage. If I didn't have a radio and tire inflater that still used them I wouldn't have them at all. I only buy the batteries when there is a sale. I've gotten rid of my other ryobi products due to the batteries being garbage. Only my ryobi batteries have proven to be unreliable. I am completely unsatisfied with the product line as a results.

Some of the products like the vacuum aren't great but we used the heck out of our weed whacker and drills and multitool and finish nailer and hedge trimmer and they all work great. I do wish the batteries would last longer and have a longer life. My cousins hitachi 18 volt system does outlast mine. Ironically I am writing this review because I had to buy two more batteries.

I just purchased this at my local store this week. After opening up the package, fully charged them and only got about 15 minutes out of each battery. When I purchased the trimmer, the battery I bought then lasted for at least 30 minutes after a full charge. I don't know if the larger size battery would last longer, but I should have put the money I paid for these two towards that.

One has already failed completely with no output at all. Charger tells me it is defective. Home Depot won't let me return just the one and says if the other one n the pair is working, I can't return them both. They screwed me.
