can i use the regular battery charger with the heavy dury 108 battery

Asked by: yankee76
Hi yankee76. You must use an 18 volt lithium ion charger or an 18 volt dual chemistry charger. Thanks for the question.

How long is warranty on P108? How long under normal use will it last? I am not a contractor. Just home improver doing small projects.

I use my drill about 2 hours a week doing small projects around the house after working 56 hours per week. How long will p108 battery last under normal usage?
Asked by: Mike
Mike Beware. I had to buy a new p108 after a year. Cost 99 bucks. It lasted less than a year of light homeowner use. No refund or help.

18-Volt ONE+ High Capacity Lithium+ Battery is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 429.

I have 8 Ryobi tools and I like them a lot (for the price), and I have several Lithium+ batteries (at least 6, some of which are the lesser amp-hour P102 and P104 units), and they have been great, but the latest pair of these P-108 batteries are AWFUL. I suspect they are defective, because they had almost zero capacity out of the case (they showed full on the gauge), and when I tried to charge them (I have 4 Ryobi Li-Ion chargers) they blink red, indicating defective. So this negative review applies only to this pair of these batteries, and I plan to return them under the "30 Day Satisfaction Guaranty", so be aware to check any new Ryobi 18v batteries immediately, or if they sit over 30 days, you may have to go through the company's warranty claim procedure.

I am an avid user of Ryobi 18V batteries and the associated tools and equipment. I bought this to go with the Ryobi Garage Door opener that I bought for my daughter's house. I have a few of these batteries for myself and they last way longer than the regular 18V Ryobi batteries and I really appreciate the battery charge indicator lights! I would highly recommend the Ryobi product line with 18V high capacity lithium batteries!

This is a P108, DO NOT buy the cheaper P104 - it's useless within a few months. At $99 it's too expensive, but at least it's a Lithium battery that finally lives up to its Hype. Holds a charge (DON'T leave it on the charger after it's fully charged - DON'T store it on the charger).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of power Truly is high capacity. I can trim, edge and blow my lawn with just one of these batteries. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I have had this battery only a week so I cannot comment on how long it holds a charge or how long before it needs to be replaced, which ultimately is what most people would want to know. It works fine but is WAY too expensive at $99! But if you own the tool set powered by it, you have no choice but to buy the only battery that fits. I do like that this one has a button that will show a light to indicate the remaining charge. The battery that died did not have this. The only tools I use from the tool set are the flashlight and the drill. At this price for batteries, I may go back to corded tools when the next battery dies.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Capacity is listed on the bottom of battery Home Depot / Ryobi are intentionally opaque about the capacity of their various One+ Litium batteries, so here's what I found after 15 minutes of searching the packaging in the store: Capacity is not listed anywhere on the package, but if you look carefully on the bottom of the batteries in the top right corner you can just make out the wH through the packaging, hidden behind the paper instruction book: P102: 24wH $40, 2 pack for $60 P107: 28wH plus built in meter $45, 2 for $100 P105: 48wH $50 P108: 72wH plus built in meter $100 I bought the p105 seemed the best deal

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Long lasting I bought 2 of these about a month ago and have had great results. I have a lot of edging to do and I also weed eat with them too. I am on almost an acre and I can get everything done with both batteries. Did I say I have a ton of edging to do? Corner lot with sidewalks and curbs. I have had some problems in the past with the batteries not lasting long before they default. That's why I gave it a 4/5. I had left them out in the garage so I'm not sure if that had something to do with it. But so far so good here! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lots of Power Bought this because the average battery did not last long enough sometimes for longer activities. Came 3/4 charged per the attached power level indicator and charged it up before using. Used it in my Line whip and a normal battery just makes trimming my entire yard, sometimes not. This battery when done still had 3/4 charge. It is definitely nice to have the battery power indicator. I also was worried the extra weight would make the tool harder to handle and it was not noticeable. Just hope the total life of the battery is better than some of my others and thus my reluctance to give the battery a full five stars because I have not owned it very long. It is pricey.
