Customer Questions & Answers

Is this fan still being made?? I can't find it anywhere, but there is a newer model.

Asked by: Satori
Yes, I ordered it online and picked it up at my local HomeDepot.

How Much? and does it included the battery and charger?

This is for the Ryobi ONE PLUS PORTABLE FAN
Asked by: ENPC
It was $39.97 (but I got a discount through a coop I'm part of). It does NOT come with the battery or charger. I bought an inverter that plugs into my car's 18V socket, but I still haven't found a short electrical cord to run from the inverter to the fan.

Can the fan be aimed straight up and hold that position on its own?

Asked by: Caelan
Hi, Caelan. Yes! It can hold a up position.

Can you recommend a short (2', 3', 6' or 8') extension cord for the One+ 18-volt portable fan?

Rather than purchasing the battery, I bought an inverter to power the fan from my car's 18-v socket to the fan. I'm having trouble finding a short extension cord to connect the inverter to the fan. Most extension cord heads are either far too big to fit into the fan's prongs or are 3-prong. Would appreciate any help!
Asked by: Manuel
Hi, Manuel. Unfortunately, we do not have a suggestion because we have not tested this unit on an inverter.

Customer Reviews

18-Volt ONE+ Portable Fan (Tool-Only) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 79.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dog Cooling Fan I bought this Ryobi 18V fan to help keep my two dogs cool while they are crated at Dog Agility Trials. Some trial venues are not air-conditioned and provide no AC power for fans or coolers but this fan moves plenty of air to help keep them comfortable between runs. It easily runs 3+ hours on the 'hi' setting with a fully charged battery and will run all day on the 'low' setting. The Ryobi fan will sit on any reasonably flat surface and the angle of airflow is adjustable from about 30 degrees blowing over the top of the dog crates to a straight-up 90 degrees blowing right on them. In addition the 'j-hook' on the top of the fan can be used to hang it onto the side of a wire pen, or fence. This fan works very well for my needs and I'm extremly satisfied with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great velocity! I was so glad when these fans became available. I bought two of them to use when I take my dogs to agility trials. They have tons of air flow!! And, they are very quiet. I bought 4 of the nickel cadmium batteries (too many of the reviews on the more expensive lithium-ion batteries scared me off) and that has been plenty, so far, to keep the fans going all day. If I have a complaint, it is that the batteries are extremely difficult to remove from the fan. I think there may be a trick that I have not yet learned!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Fan at a Great Price I just recently purchased another of these fans, for my new pup. I have another one that I've been using for over a year and it still works great and the battery is still going strong after many recharges. I use one for each of my dogs while they are crated at training and at dog trials. They can easily be attached to a crate door and/or you can utilize the folding stand that comes with it. They are wonderful and move air very well to help keep the dogs cool while crated. They do not take alot of space when traveling. On high speed they last at least 8 hours. With the lithium battery....they last much longer. Easy to recharge while on the road or at a trial - especially with the one hour charger. I have also used these fans in the house (during power outages in the summer) and while camping, as a personal fan, in the summer and they work great keeping humans cool as well. I highly recommend these fans!!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile Fan I've found lots of uses for this fan. Of course it's great for keeping cool when you're on the job and away from utility power, helping to dry glue or paint, or to exhaust fumes. But it's so portable that I've taken it with me to my kids' soccer games. Keeps me cool in the sun and keeps my kids cool when they're on the sidelines. I take it camping! Talk about an easy way to fan the flames on the campfire or keep the smoke blowing the other way! And in the tent it keeps the kids cool. With a fresh P104 the fan will go all night on its low setting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT for a booth in a festival! I come from museum art world and Im one of those cool people in a booth at art festivals - which typically have no electricity. I'm always flooded with people and to be cooler, and not soaking in sweat on 95 degree humid mid-atlantic days, i got two of these fans! the light breeze they provide on low setting last for the quoted 10 hours easily!!!! that shocked me. I haven't tried the high setting because i'd rather have low setting all day than run out the battery in a few hours and be stuck sweltering. I"m going to do a test run at home with the high setting to see how long it lasts but reports online say about 3 or 4 hours it seems. which is great if you'd like the higher speed for a shorter time. overall, for outdoor events, cookouts... or art world festivals... where electricity is limited. these are AWESOME! I'm thinking about getting two more. for a booth setting, they're totally worth it! even with buying more expensive batteries - they are worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New and Improved To clear up some confusion, the reviews seem to point to two fans. This newer greenish/yellow fan and the older blue one. The older blue fan is the one which (seems to depend on the luck of the draw) had problems of the fan blade popping off. I own both fans. I'm glad to say that the fan blade has a lot more plastic area attached and should not pop off like the blue one. This fan is shaped and changes positions more like normal portable fans. Also, it has holes on the base area which allows for screw mounting on a wall if necessary. Plus a hook for hanging and a grooved handle. Overall, it's a big improvement over the older model (especially, no more blade popping out). The only dislike I have (but tolerable) is with the 18V bigger battery, when picking up the fan by it's handle, the angle pointing position of the fan changes (probably from the weight of the battery). It would have been nice if there was a "lock in place" feature. Other than that, this fan works fine!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job This fan is not only portable, but also produces excellent airflow, unlike some other battery fans. It is perfect for putting next to my dog's crate to keep her cool at agility trials or hunt tests. It seems to be builty pretty solid. However, after about a dozen or so uses, the blade popped off while I was carrying the fan. I had to use a tiny allen wrench to unscrew about 20 allen screws to get the fan apart to pop the blade back in. Some of the screws are in awkward positions so it took a lot longer than I expected. Then fan is now working fine.
