Answer:
No - single speed only. It is a low volume compressor so it will take a while to inflate anything that needs lots of air. It's ideal for topping off and/or adjusting pressure in car tires.

18-Volt ONE+ Power Inflator (Tool-Only) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 484.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best overall tool for mobile inflation needs I've been trying to figure out the best solution to my mobile inflator needs when I stumbled across this Ryobi inflator. This fits my needs perfectly so far. My wife and I camp out quite often using our truck and travel trailer. The truck has air bag suspension to help with leveling when towing our camping trailer. Altogether we have 9 truck tires and the two air bags which can need airing during our trips in wilderness areas where there are no services. When I disconnect from the trailer I want to reduce the air bag pressure for a better ride, then reinflate the bags when I reconnect the trailer (tongue weight around 450 pounds needs about 25 lbs air bag pressure to ride level). This Ryobi inflator is the complete answer. Its small so it stows easily and since I have other Ryobi tools using One+ system I have extra batteries and chargers. Before we leave on a trip I make sure I have two charged batteries and no more worries about needing to pump air bags or flat tires (I also carry a tire emergency tire patch/plug kit so I can repair and reinflate without having to use my spare tire). I used to carry a small protable generator and small air compressor with hoses and fittings but that strategy, while it works well, is expensive, heavy, combersome, and requires keeping track of all the pieces such as tire gage, air chucks, hoses, etc.. If you want something simple, inexpensive, light weight and easy to stow in your trailer or vehicle this is the tool to buy. I also plan to take this with me on trips with our Harley Davidson trike. If you have a flat on a motorcycle you really have problems getting to a service station (no spare tire) this this should save me if that ever happens. The only small change I'd make to this product is a trigger lock out. It has a hair trigger so I have to always remember to remove the battery so it doesnt run accidentally while I'm driving and its stored in my trailer.

I knew if it worked well and the gauge was accurate, I would get a lot of use out of this. This has to be one of the best Ryobi buys I've made! I've already used it several times, for soccer balls, bike tires, and I even had to fix a flat on my wife's Dodge Caravan, so I jacked her up, plugged the tire, and used this bad boy to air it right back up. Perfect! I no longer need the old portable compressor that I had to plug into the cigarette lighter outlet in the car and mess with cords and all the hassle that goes with that! The Ryobi was actually faster than my cheapo little Sears compressor too. Glad I bought this and will be using it a lot!

I would like to say this is truth in advertising . . . finally. However, I have come to expect excellent quality from RYOBI products. Yes, I have quite a few items and I am enjoying them all. As a single woman and home owner, I am sometimes in the position of having to effect repairs myself. These tools have helped me through some rough patches. And the best part, they are easy to use. So no fumbling with the drill because my hands are smaller than those of a man. I would definitely recommend RYOBI products to all self-doers who are looking for the right tool at the right price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Buy the P731 instead For a few dollars more, with the P731 inflator, you get a unit that shuts itself off at the predetermined setting you selected. With this P737, you have to hold your finger on the trigger for several minutes (neither of them are really fast) while the pressure builds. Then you have to release the trigger to check the pressure on the gauge (my gauge isn't working and remains on 0 psi). I got very tired of holding the trigger very fast and longed for the convenience of the P731. I will replace this with another P731 soon. My store was out of stock when I last visited.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very useful for small tires I really like this inflation tool. I use it for everything from bike tires to soccer balls to garden tractor tires and beach vinyl inflatables for the kids. It can fully inflate a soccer ball in 30 seconds and a bike tire in a minute or two. Paired with the 18V 4 amp lithium battery you get well over 30 minutes of run time. This is not a heavy duty pump and it must be allowed to rest for 5 minutes after 5 minutes of continuous use so the unit can cool down. This is not a tool for inflating car or truck tires though I have used it to add 8 pounds of pressure to a tire on my car that was a little low. I puts out a lot of pressure but not a lot of volume so use it with some common sense and you will be very happy with this cordless pump.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works, however a bit slow. I love the ryobi one product series. The interchangeable batteries are awesome. The price of the inflator is great but it's so low because it doesn't come with a battery and charger. Fine be me as I have two already. The inflator is very small and compact, however I will say that taking a car tire from 30psi to 36psi takes some time. It would take you 20 minutes or more if you had to do four tires. Still better than having to go to the gas station. It was very effective on car tires and a soccer ball.

Obviously I have other Ryobi tools as they work off the same battery and charging systems. It works well but you have to get used to how it functions. The pressure gauge is a bit off, about 10-15% when measured against a more precise gauge, but once you know that, you can make adjustments. The best part is that it is portable, so you don't have to bring something that needs inflation to the air compressor site or drag an compressor to the inflation location. It is an inflator only, not a substitute for a compressor that is used to drive tools or a sprayer. A good product!
Date published: 2016-12-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great buy! This small compressor is very powerful for its size. Effortlessly and quickly filled all types of tires-bicycle and automobile. A couple of the bike tires were completely flat. It took no more than about 90 seconds on an adult sized 60 psi bike tire to inflate it from flat. All areas of the tool remained cool to the touch, unlike some of my cigarette lighter powered pumps of the past, which could burn the heck out of you if you werent careful. The guage makes checking your progress effortless and appears fairly accurate. For this price, there is simply nothing better on the market. Especially if you run Ryobi tools. I plan on buying another as backup. Nice that it stores spare bits in the handle, so footballs and air mattresses can be dealt with too. Great buy for under $20. Easily outperforms pumps costing twice as much.
