Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SouthernTMT Easy to Use, clears clogs quickly and great tool
It is easy to handle, follow the directions to ensure you don't over fill the container and ensure you have enough paint to allow the paint sprayer to perform as designed. I used the pro power paint sprayer to paint my bench I made. In the past I have used brush and rollers, this was by far quicker to get the job done. Then new reversable tip made clearing the clog quick and easy. I am a hands on and love to see visuals. I would like to see a quick start guide included, but other than that small sugguestion. I am very satisfied with my pro power spray painter. It is like any other tool, you must take care of it by cleaning it. The brushes and oil includes made the clean up job easier.

this sprayer came out just in the time i was looking for something to finish the room remodel i was doing
i am an owner of a lot of ryobi tools and this sprayer is a good addition to my tool box. I use it specially for the white color on my ceiling and all the crown base and casing of the room came out excelent.
the only recommendation i'll add is if the container shape and size be a little more capacity for like it happend to me the ceiling otherwise it very good tool and easy to disasemble and clean

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Motley wasted money!!
Used it one time trying to paint some cabinet doors.Worked ok for a few minutes then stopped spraying.
Spent more of my time than it's worth trying to make it work properly.
I understand why Home Depot stopped selling them.
I have 21 Ryobi products that I love, but the paint sprayer was a waste of my money.

My first cordless sprayer, I painted the interior of my 8x12 shed in 45 minutes first coat ! This Ryobi atomized the paint easily, and sprayed evenly. I did use a larger battery, so didn't encounter loss of power. The 1 quart sized paint container was a trade-off between volume and weight. After 1/2 hour my arm was a little tired, so more than a quart would have been difficult. Be sure to keep your arm level when spraying, it doesn't like up/down angles. And take your time cleaning !

Need some improvement bad.very nice design but poor performance. If ryobi improves this product I would purchase another one. I returned the one I bought . It worked good for one project then it failed on me.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by murO WHY SPEND MORE FOR CORDLESS?
I was hesitant to spend a little more for the cordless over the corded sprayer. After using the sprayer on several jobs of different levels i found that over my corded one it , #1 SAVED TIME ON SETTING UP #2 DIVERSE FOR EVEN THE SMALLEST PROJECT. # 3 GOOD OVERALL SPRAY
clean up is also a breeze, completely satisfied!

Works great. The reverse nozzle works very well. Be sure to have enough batteries for the job.

The Ryobi 18v ProTip Sprayer is an excellent product and I would recommend it for any homeowner or DIYr. 7 years ago I painted the entire outside of my house with Behr Ultra paint but I applied it using brushes and rollers. The paint looked great and held up well but the task was extremely labor intensive doing it with brushes and rollers. I recently had to remove an old window and resized the opening for a standard size window. I ended up having to redo and repaint a section of siding. I purchased a new gallon of Behr Ultra exterior paint but this time I applied it using the ProTip Sprayer. The job was extremely easy to do with the sprayer and the results were great. I set up the ProTip on a piece of scrap wood and put all the items I needed to do the task on a couple of saw horses. I tightened all the fittings prior to the test run. However, there existed some dripping. The drip issue was solved easily by applying some plumbers tape to the male threads for the locking nut located on the front of the housing. This worked well and I no longer had any leakage. The Ryobi Sprayer is still considered a tool and should be cleaned , maintained and stored properly like any other quality tool. Taking a little time to soak the parts in warm water and soap. Brush all parts with the cleaning brush included with the sprayer making sure to add a few drops of oil on the piston shaft. I compared cleaning the paint sprayer to cleaning a small firearm. If you want it to give you good results always take the time and clean it, store it and maintain it like you would an expensive gun.
