CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 73 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this Spiral Saw! I bought this to help with a drywall project, since the last time I used a drywall hand saw to make all the cuts I needed. I was skeptical, but now am a huge fan of this tool. The adjustable radius circle cutter attachment is awesome. It made cutting holes in sheetrock for pot light perforations a breeze. Fast, perfect circles. I wish I had bought this tool years ago. One minor con to mention, but not to detract from a purchase- it does use up batteries quicker than you'd expect. I have 2 batteries already though for my drill which doesn't use up batteries anywhere near as fast, but managed to cycle dead batteries though the charger while using one battery between the drill and the spiral saw, which only slowed me down a little. The time saving from the spiral saw over hand tools more than made up for that time of swapping tools on the 1 battery. I think in the course of 8 hours, the saw drained a battery twice, so not bad at all. Just be aware this is normal, so don't be surprised. Tip- there's 2 bits included in the box, but the manual doesn't explain which one's which, and at first glance they appear the same, but there definitely are subtle differences. The drywall bit has a rounded tip where the first 1/16" of the bit is a flat edge that allows you to cut drywall around an electrical box but not cut the box itself as the flat end just rubs the box allowing you to use the box as a guide while cutting the drywall, making for a tight clean fitting opening. The wood cutting bit looks like a drill bit at the end, where it is sharp edged to penetrate wood, and the spiral cutting edge runs right through to the tip. Love this saw! November 7, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good saw I have used this saw to cut through drywall for electrical box installations and for removing a larger section of ceiling drywall for a renovation project. The saw was nearly flawless. The circle cutter does it's job well but the saw is loud. For larger cutouts it is difficult to maintain a straight line but I am sure with more practice that will come. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Tough on batteries! I have used this tool for a few weeks. I find it much more convenient than a corded Dremel for the odd/on-site job. The only negative is the very reduced battery life (One +). But I have four of those batteries...so should you! January 8, 2007
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by helpful I like using this tool. I only wish it was compatible or had add ons available like the dremel tools have. February 27, 2007
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Super saw for cutting sections of sheet rock! I'm not a pro and barely a handyman. I bought this for and have used it for cutting sheet rock to remove a section to gain access to the cavity between the studs. This saw allows me to get a clean start and precisely cut out what I need. I've done 1 wall job where I removed a 1ft X 9 ft piece to run HDMI cable in the wall for an over the fireplace TV mount and another to cut out a 18 in X 6 ft section in a basement ceiling to repair a pipe. The clean cut allows me to remove the cut-out set it aside and later put it back in like a puzzle piece, spackle and paint. I've been so impressed with this little saw. February 1, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great all around tool I purchased this tool in place of a 6" hole saw... since 6" hole saws were actually more expencive. This tool performed flawlessly cutting a perfect circle in 1/2" thick plywood. Cut like butter and took less than 30 seconds to cut the hole. Also works great in sheetrock, fits dremel tools for sharpening and sanding. Great value. May 21, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by disappointed Had to cut a section of installed base molding in bathroom. It was located between the toilet and shower wall(glass). The molding was wood 4" x 3/4". In all honesty this may have been a case of using the wrong tool. The saw did cut the wood cleanly, but you had to go very slowly. I had a hard time keeping a straight line, a simple guide would have solved that. Again, I was in tight quarters which did nothing ease the use of this tool.I don't want to imply that there was something wrong with the tool,I think it performed as it was designed to. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I've used this tool for cutting holes on ceilings, walls (dry wall or wood) and floor tiles, especialy when I want to make an off set angle to fit in the bathroom, I also use it to cut holes on sheet metal when passing a pipe to the work area with out having to take the sheet metal apart. very convinent to use in my line of work.
