Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Really good battery but..... Bought a pair of these last year, one still works perfectly but the other did not hold its charge. Found out how to balance the cells. Once balanced, it has been working perfectly once again. I believe this is a common issue with Li-ion battery packs. April 17, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Junk I bought a set of these and one battery only took 2 charges the other took 4 before they would no longer charge. I used 2 different chargers both of which charged my other batteries. I returned them to homedepot and they gladly exchanged them. The next set I got only lasted about 5 or 6 charges before they began to fail. I've bought my last piece of roybi equipment. I have a drill, trimmer and blower. I have several different batteries and none of them get even 30% of the run time they advertise. June 25, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 2 Batteries Fail within Months I had two of these batteries come with a driver as part of a kit and they both died within months of purchasing. One died within a month and the other within 6 months. Worse, they were sold with a defective charger that is now being recalled by Ryobi. Ryobi wouldn't replace them as they were out of warranty. But even the charger would recognize the batteries as defective, sometimes. Other times, no. Measured voltage across contacts and it was only putting out 10V as opposed to the necessary 18V. Stay away from this and Ryobi one+ tools until they fix this defect. Tools are useless without the necessary batteries. April 8, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Stay away Purchased 5 of these batteries - big mistake - you get what you pay for. Out of the lot of 5 - 2 of them are now defective and are not even 6 months old. July 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A battery that holds a charge.......FINALLY When I first got this drill, I also picked up a spare battery. Two weeks later, the spare battery would not hold a charge or even charge up. I bought this spare battery because in an office environment, no one knows how to put a drill on a charger when it's dying so when you really need it, there's no juice left to it. I bought this charger and it's been working great! So nice to have a spare because it is always me that needs it and it's dead! Priced just right! November 4, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Depends on tool it's powering First time to use lithium ion battery, in this case with a blower. A charge lasts less than 10 minutes, not great but okay for many jobs. It wouldn't hold a charge after less than 10 recharges. The charger manual says to try charging another battery, and if that doesn't work, the charger could be defective. Am I supposed to spend $37 to $99 on another battery hoping the charger isn't at fault? This may be a great battery for smaller power tools. For example; the cheaper NiCad rechargeble battery for my drill has been great. The P102 comes as a package with the blower, so buyer beware. September 1, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Junk I purchased a master kit with all the one+ tools. I recieved 2 chargers and 4 batteries. I charged the batteries and used the tools ONE TIME. Then I put two of the batteries on the charger/maintainers. About a month later I switched out the batteries in the chargers. We just had a very cold snap and went out to my garage to switch out the batteries since it had been about two months and both batteries that were out of the chargers will not take a charge and are giviving a fault reading. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I want to be clear I used the tools for about 15 minutes in 6 months and the two batteries that died had never been used. If the next two batteries do this I will never buy another Ryobi product. January 3, 2015
