Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Really good battery but..... Bought a pair of these last year, one still works perfectly but the other did not hold its charge. Found out how to balance the cells. Once balanced, it has been working perfectly once again. I believe this is a common issue with Li-ion battery packs. April 17, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A battery that holds a charge.......FINALLY When I first got this drill, I also picked up a spare battery. Two weeks later, the spare battery would not hold a charge or even charge up. I bought this spare battery because in an office environment, no one knows how to put a drill on a charger when it's dying so when you really need it, there's no juice left to it. I bought this charger and it's been working great! So nice to have a spare because it is always me that needs it and it's dead! Priced just right! November 4, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 2 Batteries Fail within Months I had two of these batteries come with a driver as part of a kit and they both died within months of purchasing. One died within a month and the other within 6 months. Worse, they were sold with a defective charger that is now being recalled by Ryobi. Ryobi wouldn't replace them as they were out of warranty. But even the charger would recognize the batteries as defective, sometimes. Other times, no. Measured voltage across contacts and it was only putting out 10V as opposed to the necessary 18V. Stay away from this and Ryobi one+ tools until they fix this defect. Tools are useless without the necessary batteries. April 8, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Junk I purchased a master kit with all the one+ tools. I recieved 2 chargers and 4 batteries. I charged the batteries and used the tools ONE TIME. Then I put two of the batteries on the charger/maintainers. About a month later I switched out the batteries in the chargers. We just had a very cold snap and went out to my garage to switch out the batteries since it had been about two months and both batteries that were out of the chargers will not take a charge and are giviving a fault reading. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I want to be clear I used the tools for about 15 minutes in 6 months and the two batteries that died had never been used. If the next two batteries do this I will never buy another Ryobi product. January 3, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Battery lasted only 1 season on a VERY small yard! If I could give this zero stars, I would. This battery came with my Ryobi Weed Whacker and is dead, luckily it has a plug! Never have I spent so much money on a useless item. Home Depot should have a battery recycling program so we could all drop off our dead Li-Ion batteries and a trash can for the chargers. Don't waste your hard-earned money on any of these battery-operated products!!! May 21, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Meet P102 -- WORST Li-Ion batteries I ever seen in my life! I have bought *two* RYOBY tools from HD (yes, I am a dimwit), each with P102 battery and charger. Tools themselves are meh-OK but both batteries died after *less then a dozen uses* just by sitting continuously in their "smart" chargers over winter. Now, before you blame temperature, this is in Bellevue, WA, where we never have less than -8 Celsius and Li-Ion are rated to -15 C. The issue is either with their Chinese chargers or their Chinese batteries. Or maybe with their Chinese Home Depot, who knows? DO NOT BUY FROM TTI !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This Chinese company owns following brands: ◾AEG ◾Hart ◾Milwaukee Electric Tool ◾Ryobi ◾Stiletto February 19, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad Bet One would have thought that a retail chain like HD would have qualified these batteries before placing them in the stores. I actually came to this site to buy a replacement battery and saw these customer reviews. I've had the same experience as most of these others. Small capacity battery failed first after about 3 months. The heavy duty one almost made it through the first winter after 6 months of use. Ryobi is a bad bet - don't buy them....................
