These batteries have more power than the black NiCads I've been using for years. I feel like they brought my old Ryobi tools back to life, especially the circular saw and chainsaw. My Ryobi circular saw (older blue model) used to only be useful for cutting thin plywood, and the new batteries easily handle cutting 3/4 plywood and a few 2x4's. I would guess the new batteries last about twice as long as the NiCad battery packs.
Definitely recommend if you can find the two pack of 4Ah batteries... It's a much better value than the single pack most stores keep in stock.

Two 4 amp NiCd batteries for $100 is a good deal, but two 4 amp Lithium batteries for $100 is a phenomenal deal.
I switched from the One+ NiCd batteries to these Lithium batteries last year. All my Ryobi cordless tools now perform way better than they ever did. Each one of these batteries holds an enormous amount of power. Our yard is over an acre and two of these batteries can trim the entire yard with my Ryobi cordless trimmer.
My cordless circular saw can zip through 2X4's as well as a corded unit. That saw never ran like that with the NiCd's.
So when these went on sale I bought another set. These go fast so get them while you can.

Excellent Product, but the battery is not available in the two pack at the price that is continually fed to me online. It has been out of stock online and in all nearby stores for over a month and I still get the ads. There should be a rain check system or something, if you are going to continually advertise them? Are you hoping I'll just buy them for $99 a piece now that I'm interested or buy the two pack of smaller batteries for $99. You could just ruin our relationship with this continual advertising of a product that isn't available at that price and you probably don't plan to have it again or you would let us order it and wait on it. Now you can say you have some in some store somewhere, you target your ads, you know where I am. Either let me order the batteries that are in these far away stores to be shipped to my store or quit advertising them! The one I bought awhile back at $99 is great and I would like the two pack you continually advertise to me for $99!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by ToolboyNC Ryobi P122 High Capacity 18v Battery 2-Pack - Unbelievable Value!
These P108 batteries are the Real Deal. They're rated 72WH/4000mAh, which is 2/3 more energy than the 45Wh/2400mAh P104, it's predecessor. That's also about 3x the energy in a P102 battery! If you want your tool to go as long as possible before a recharge, the P108 is for you.
This does mean the P108 battery takes longer to charge, too. A P118 charger will completely restore a fully depleted P108 in about 3 hours. If you need it charged faster, use the P117 or P125 SuperCharger to reduce the charge time to about 2 hours.
The internal circuit board functionality of the P108 (and P107) is different from other Ryobi 18v LiIon battteries (P102, P103, P104, P105). When idle, the voltage at the terminals remains low until a load is detected. When used with most tools, you'll never notice the difference. But if you use a P740/P741 radio you may find that the radio doesn't come on when you press the power button. The quick fix is to press the battery's power level meter first, which briefly "wakes up" the battery. Then, while the power level meter is illuminated, one can turn on the radio or measure the voltage at the battery's terminals.
The BOGO deal of the P122 makes ownership of the P108 batteries a no-brainer. And then The Home Depot lowered the price another 15% following the 2014 Holiday Season! Anyone who uses their Ryobi 18v tools more than just occasionally needs to pick up a P122 kit. Heck, at this discounted price I now own four of these P108 batteries. Who knows, they're so cheap right now I'll probably buy more and disassemble one P108 to rebuild two old P103 packs, which will upgrade them to 36Wh/2000mAh -- 50% more energy than a P102!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by KylieT You need these.
I bought the Ryobi toolkit when we bought our house, and my two most-used tools are the screwdriver and the circular saw. When I'm cutting plywood, the circular saw has only about 20 mins of battery life, but with the high capacity battery, I have enough juice to finish out the project. The charge time is the same as the other batteries (30-40 mins), but I haven't lost power yet. It feels like freedom!
The only con is that the battery dimensions are so thick, I have a hard time disconnecting it from the charger or whatever tool I'm using. (I do have child-size hands, though, so if you're not a tiny person, you shouldn't have any problem.)
