Rated 5 out of 5Â by Lever2000 Convenient Flashlight
This is a good flashlight. Nice to be able to use it with the Ryobi rechargeable battery pack instead of having to worry about having working non-rechargeable batteries available. It has a good level of brightness and is a good size and weight for carrying. It is a bit smaller than I expected based on the image on the website, but small is good for me. The head does twist around easily if you need to direct the light upward if you need to place the unit down to use two hands on your task, although it stops just short of turning a full 180 degrees which bothers me only because of my OCD. The on/off button does require a bit of extra pressure to engage which might be a problem for a child but not for an adult. Not yet able to comment on durability.

I purchased this product when I had the need for a hand held flashlight that could also stand hands-free if needed. I chose this brand because I was already using Ryobi 18V tools and have two chargers and three batteries.
I find this product fills the need ideally but the one warning I have is related to the bulb issue that many others have mentioned here. I also had the experience of having the stock bulb fail to work after only one use.
On the positive side, however, as I had only had the light for a few days I went back to HD and they gave me a 2-pack of the Dewalt relacement bulbs for free, and I appreciate the good customer service. My feeling from the other reviews is that my problems are likely over so I'm quite satisfied. I'll add to this if I have any further problems.

The light is way too concentrated and intense. A different bulb or diffuser is needed or LED. It gets super hot and the swivel is so limited that it's near useless. It's a 50 cent product thrown in to most kits to add value.

Although the bulb is removable, you won't be able to buy a replacement 18V bulb anywhere. Once the bulb burns out, you'll have to throw this away. You're better off to buy something you can maintain.
