Answer:
The book says 50 to 1 fuel mix. If you really want a saw to perform buy the pre mixed gas in the quart can. It is a 92 octane gas and my saws love it!

Answer:
This a simple chain to find. Sears carries them all the time. It is an Oregon chain. It has 72 links and it should have a 20 on the underside of each link.. It will say that on the box also. Make sure it is 325 pitch or it won`t work on this saw.

18 in. 46 cc 2-Cycle Gas Chainsaw is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 119.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money Chainsaw works just fine, but leaks oil when stored. I dropped it off at Home Depot tool rental desk for warranty, they sent it out, came back 2 months later and still leaks. I called Ryobi service and tech support...... they tell me oh well you can't store it with more than 1/4 oil in the tank and the tank is pressurized so you have to store it on the side, which renders the carry case useless if you have any oil in the tank. And you won't find either of these instructions in the manual, so not sure how I would have known that. However, even after following these steps, it still leaks. Home Depot guy said it is a known problem with Ryobi gas chainsaws.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Save your money When I bought this saw about two years ago I used it twice and it would not start. Took it back to Home Depot where they sent it out for repair and when it came back they tried to charge me for the repair. After getting it home and trying to start it I was able to get it to start but it would no longer idle and would run full blast. It can take up to a half hour to get this one started. While using it the spark plug popped out of the hole and I can see where it had been cross threaded by the repair people. It has finally given up as the plastic gear the it uses to start it with the pull start has worn out. Save yourself the headache that I went through and look for a better saw.

I got it to cut down a small tree. I managed to get that done but a few months later, I needed to remove a second tree. The saw starts fine BUT it will not cut butter. It bogs down at the slightest resistance. I'm talking like a blade of grass. I'm currently trying to disassemble it and clean whatever it needs. I made the mistake of buying this thing just to get by and another mistake not getting the warranty. If you think you only need it for one use, you're wrong and you'll be sad and disappointed later. Get a better saw. Pay a $20 or $30 of a better one and you'll thank yourself later. So disappointing.

Was 250 miles away from home. Got home look and it said 50 to 1. I was mixing it to strong. Must use 50 to 1 and it evens idles now. It is an 18 inch and the bar is flaring out on the top and the bottom of the end of the bar. Don't know if there is suppose to be a roller on the end?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still good, years later Bought this chainsaw about 5 years ago to cut down 2 trees on my property. It quickly developed a problem to where it kept idling real high. That kinda bothered me, but it got the job done. So, it sat for like almost 4 or 5 years. Then, I started doing work with this guy in a lawn-care & tree-service co. I bring my old Ryobi to the job site, unsure if it would even start. After about 10 minutes, I got it started. It still runs like new. The idling problem it had has since went away. Just shocked at how well it runs after all this time sitting unused.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to start, smooth cut and blade holds a edge I purchased this saw June 30 2012, right after a wind storm of 75mph, in which it ripped through my front and back yard. Trees were laying down all over the place, large and medium size. I've been cutting all weekend 8 hours a day, all the debri is cut up, I've got a lot of firewood. This chain saw performed great after priming, started right up...first pull and every time after that. This is a smooth operating saw, very durable
