Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 612 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Strong and works on wet leaves as well as dry. I had a back pack blower about 7 years ago (different brand) and it was okay if it wasn't windy and if all of the leaves were completely dry. So when I ordered this one, I was hoping for a better turnout but I have to admit I was skeptical. Now I'm happy to report I was wowed with this blower. I have 2 negatives that I will mention in a minute but I attached the blower hose and followed the instructions for starting it the first time. It started right up and ran great. I cleanned out about 120-130 ft of flower beds and cleaned out they entired fenced back yard (about 1/3 of an acre in about an hour. As I said earlier the old one I use to have wouldn't move wet leaves. This one had no problem with it. It moved the leaves (wet and dry) the pine needles and all of the other debris. I have done it all with a rake in previous years and it was a 5-6 hour job so needless to say i was very happy with this order. Now 2 couple of minor issues. 1. After a few minutes of use, I could feel the heat from the engine on the back of my head. It wasn't coming through the backpack but it was just rising off the motor and I could feel it. It was not bad enough that I had to stop, it was just something I noticed. The other small issue is the end piece of the blower pipe would work itself loose and fall off as I used it. It happened multiple times in the hour. Nothing that a little tape won't take care of but something that should have been designed a little better. Overall l'm happy with the order. June 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Powerful Blower, Fits LARGE Users, Runs Great I've owned Ryobi outdoor equipment for years and this backpack blower is my latest acquisition to the fleet. It doesn't disappoint. Everything about this Ryobi blower is easy. Assembly out of the box takes ten minutes and the screwdriver needed is included. Attach the blower tubes to the engine, screw down the clamps, fill the gas tank with premix (oil included) and you are ready to work. The back straps easily adjust quickly to fit all sized users. I'm a big boy, 6 foot, 300lbs and this fits like a glove. Plenty room left on the straps for an even bigger chest than mine! The wand is flexible at the elbow and allows you to get a nice sweeping motion going. The wand is long enough that it touches the ground as needed, but doesn't hang so low that it drags. Throttle speed, cruise control and the stop switch are all on the operating wand and are easy to reach and use with a finger and thumb. The engine is isolated from the back pack by springs. This lets the engine run without vibrating the sense out of your body. Starting and running are very simple, prime pull and turn off choke, that's it. Then strap it on your back and get going. Power is great for an engine this size. It easily outblows my handheld models. I used this for over an hour and did not run the tank dry yet. SWEET! I'm please with my new backpack blower and would recommend it to anyone that needs to use a blower this big for shop cleanup, driveways, garage floors and of course leaves. June 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Much better than my old blower I purchased this last fall to replace a handheld Craftsman gas blower that helped with leaf cleanup. This unit is much more powerful than my old blower and allows me to blow all of the leaves from my back yard into the woods as opposed to mulching, tarping and dragging the leaves into the woods. This is easier to start than my old blower but is not a quick start engine. I've also used this at my parents' house to blow off their roof and blast their gutters. I have not used any of this blower's attachments. It's light enough for my wife to easily use and is definitely a product I'd recommend to anyone looking for a new blower. June 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Blower, 1 Year and still going strong!!! I purchased this for a early Father's Day gift(wink, wink) in 2015. At first it didn't like the fresh gas & oil mix because on the second day of owning the blower it would not start. With some research I found that users were having some issues and switched to using premix fuel with no ethanol. I poured out the fuel-oil mix that I put in and replaced it with Trufuel. All I can say is wow what a difference. It started right up with no problem and has worked flawlessly ever since. Stop using ethanol fuel in small engines! May 22, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by I think this blower is fine I've had this blower since April '16. So far I've have one issue which was easily resolved and now it works perfectly. The issue was with the carb and I had to adjust the screw to prevent it from stalling out at full throttle. Not a big deal to me since it was such an inexpensive blower. I would definitely recommend that people give this blower a try. It holds it's own against the 500 dollar blowers. In my opinion, if you want to save 300 dollars, go for it. If you have the money, by a higher end blower. June 3, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by You get what you pay for and this is cheap compared to others I bought this a few years back when we bought our first home on a large lot (just over an acre, heavily manicured, paths, circular driveway etc) and I've since had to have it worked on three times all because it refuses to stay running. When it does work at full force its fine, problem is it won't stay there, it will die off after a few minutes (tops) of full force. Also, the bellows/soufflet cracked recently, big ol' hole there now. If you need something for really light duty, 10-15 minutes of use at a time maximum, this would probably be fine. If you need anything more than that look elsewhere. Replacing mine with a Stihl today. April 19, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Nothing but problems Plastic throttle parts broke after a few hours of us. Had to take it to an authorized repair shop in town for warranty work, which took three weeks for them to get the part from Ryobi. After a few more hours of use and it became incredibly hard to start. Today, after 15 minutes of use, it died and is completely frozen, as if I used an improper fuel mixture in it (and I know I didn't). Back to the authorized dealer for more warranty work. Save yourself the pain and avoid this one. May 29, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Garbage Setting it up was a breeze. Tried to start it up and it wouldn't start.. I called Ryobi and was told how to get it running. It worked briefly and failed to do anything but die out on me. Called Ryobi again and was told that it may be the carburetor was not working. Returned it and go the echo. May 30, 2016
