Customer Questions & Answers

What model battery does it use and can you still get them

Asked by: john
It takes the standard Ryobi 18 volt battery. I would recommend the high capacity Li-ion batteries for the wet saw.

Customer Reviews

18V ONE+ Tile Saw Console is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 87.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ryobi Wet Saw review I like this product a lot. I also have a small table wet saw and with that one you have to minipulate the tile, with this saw you use the saw and keep the tile still. Extemely portable, great power and very versatile. Easy to use, I like it for straight cuts, both saws are messy with the water so protect the area you are working in from water spray. If you already have the Ryobi system, this a fantastic addition for doing ceramic tile. A lot less expensive then other wet saws. Add the battery and charger and it is NOT a good value. I already had both.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST value anywhere I completed my new "tumbled marble" backsplash and it cut the tile like butter. It lasted a reasonable amount of time between battery charges, and held up to all my tasks. And best of all, I can't believe I bought it for only $35. You can't even rent a cutter for that price, and a cheap corded saw is $70. I am a very happy customer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great saw I got this saw to do some modification to installed tile and stone. I first tried it on some left over pieces of granite counter top. Even though the pieces were thicker than the blade extension, it cut thru the stone like a knife in soft butter. I then turned them over, and finshed the tru cut. The stone didn't split and the cuts were clean! I am very happy and impressed with this saw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow, and I use this daily. I won't tell you to cut tile for a 4800 square feet floor, that is unless you have a few back up batteries, but for everyday use on small to medium projects, this is a champ. I use this primarily for hard and semi precious stone cutting for mosaic counter top decorations. Stones ranging from 1/2 inch thick to capacity are no problem. Tiles cut like butter. Batteries are the only drawback. While the lithium battery holds a charge for a long time, the price can turn some away, but since I use a few different Ryobi plus one tools, the battery price is offset by the multiple uses.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for the price I'm working on tiling a 700+ sq ft basement with 18" X 18" tile. This tile saw cuts decently, but be prepared to fill the water reservoir constantly. Don’t bother using NiCad batteries with this saw; they’re good for 2 full cuts on this tile max. Lithium batteries work well with it, and if you have two of them you can cycle between the two and cut nonstop…. except for having to stop every two cuts to refill the reservoir. For the price of this saw, I’ll take having to refill the water bottle constantly. As long as you clamp the tile to a work bench, you can cut a variety of shapes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok for small tasks. This product has high marks for portability, but it seems adequate only for small jobs or quick trims as the battery life isn't very long or designed for continuous use. Priced right if you already own a OnePlus system. If you have to buy the battery, you're probably better off looking at a corded model.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great tool Great item to have even if all ready own a table top tile cutter, great price, easy to use. Use with new Li Battery for power to cut straight even plunging though already set tile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tool for small to midzise jobs I have used this to tile a bathroom, kitchen, mudroom, and laundry room. It works pretty darn well. After those four rooms I started on my next project and my blade was getting pretty dull. I ended up ordering another one because of the blade and my dog ate the water bottle and it was barely functioning in the end.
