I completed my new "tumbled marble" backsplash and it cut the tile like butter. It lasted a reasonable amount of time between battery charges, and held up to all my tasks. And best of all, I can't believe I bought it for only $35. You can't even rent a cutter for that price, and a cheap corded saw is $70. I am a very happy customer.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by James this product is nice but 1 thing wrong with the purchase
when i seen the add for this saw I jumped on it, i did i due to the price, then i received the item from the vendor, i unpacked the saw and read the parts list, nothing in the box that was listed on the parts list except the saw and the blade, no battery, no tools to install the blade so i called the number that was listed on the packing list for parts missing, number didn't work, so i called Ryobi, the lady looked up the item and told me to return this one back to Home Depot and she would ship me a new one one, this time i get one that states there isn't a battery in the box you have to purchase one to use the saw with, now that puts the item over a $100.00 dollars that's isn't a good buy.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sads I would buy again.
I am a trial and error (usually more of the latter) home fix it guy. I remodeled my daughter's bathroom, including tiling the shower. I hated the idea of renting a tile saw. I saw this and decided to try it. For $40 it was more than I expected. I was able to cut the tiles for her bathroom. I used a combination of 12 inch and 4 inch tiles. No problem at all. I did wear through the blade before the end of the project, but just barely and I consider that Maintenance and not Repair. I would guess doing a large project would not be a great idea but for a bathroom, I would highly recommend.

I'm working on tiling a 700+ sq ft basement with 18" X 18" tile. This tile saw cuts decently, but be prepared to fill the water reservoir constantly. Don’t bother using NiCad batteries with this saw; they’re good for 2 full cuts on this tile max. Lithium batteries work well with it, and if you have two of them you can cycle between the two and cut nonstop…. except for having to stop every two cuts to refill the reservoir. For the price of this saw, I’ll take having to refill the water bottle constantly. As long as you clamp the tile to a work bench, you can cut a variety of shapes.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by james Wow, and I use this daily.
I won't tell you to cut tile for a 4800 square feet floor, that is unless you have a few back up batteries, but for everyday use on small to medium projects, this is a champ. I use this primarily for hard and semi precious stone cutting for mosaic counter top decorations. Stones ranging from 1/2 inch thick to capacity are no problem. Tiles cut like butter. Batteries are the only drawback. While the lithium battery holds a charge for a long time, the price can turn some away, but since I use a few different Ryobi plus one tools, the battery price is offset by the multiple uses.

I purchased this tile saw for my first ever tile project and I have to say that it worked great. The only downside is that it goes through batteries like crazy. I had 2 old ni-cd batteries that unfortunately with a full charge would only cut a little over 1 12" tile before dying. I went out and bought some other Ryobi tools with newer lithium batteries of the slim design and these batteries lasted about 2-3 12" tiles was all. I had a small project so this was no big deal, but if you do not want to wait for batteries to charge it would be best to probably get the highest capacity lithium battery that Ryobi makes to use behind this tool as it drains it fast. Aside from that, the cuts were clean and my tiling job looks professional.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by FlubaDub Ryobi Wet Saw review
I like this product a lot. I also have a small table wet saw and with that one you have to minipulate the tile, with this saw you use the saw and keep the tile still. Extemely portable, great power and very versatile. Easy to use, I like it for straight cuts, both saws are messy with the water so protect the area you are working in from water spray. If you already have the Ryobi system, this a fantastic addition for doing ceramic tile. A lot less expensive then other wet saws. Add the battery and charger and it is NOT a good value. I already had both.
