With respect to the Ryobi 2,000-psi, the hose delivering water from my house to the pressure washer is only half an inch diameter. Will this reduce or limit the output pressure from the pressure washer. Would a 5/8th inch or 3/4 inch hose from my house to the pressure washer increase the output pressure. Put another way, does it matter that the hose from my house is only half inch diameter. Thanks ttop
Asked by: ttop
If your hose delivers1.2 gph then you have all the washer needs. FYI A 1/4 in would be more than enough.

How long is the mfg. warranty?

I'm considering taken out the extended warranty.
Asked by: depodavey
The warranty says 3 years, but Ryobi does not honor it. Their authorized service centers hinted that to me before I dropped it off and then changed me nearly $70 for a new GFI plug. Ryobi said they "really" only warranty the cord for 90 days, but is says no such thing on their warranty.

2,000-PSI 1.2-GPM Electric Pressure Washer is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 1038.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ryobi 2000 PSI 1.2 GPM Electric Pressure Washer ... Ryobi 2000 PSI 1.2 GPM Electric Pressure Washer . It's been a number of years since I last owned a pressure washer - a gas powered Craftsman I returned because of a hot restart problem - and my patio and driveway have been getting increasingly grimy. So for cost and simplicity (lightweight, no gas, oil, or spark plug) I decided to try this 2000 PSI Ryobi electric. First thing I did when I opened the box is read the instructions - assembly was a snap; it took about 5 minutes and I only needed a screwdriver once. Then it was off to work. The turbo nozzle did a decent job on my patio and driveway dirt, removing a good 95% of the grime with one pass - but it DID take longer than my previous gas pressure washer, and it didn't remove the deeply ingrained dirt as well - which is no surprise, as the gas unit produced 50% more pressure and had twice the water flow. Still, for this type of unit, the Ryobi turned in a credible performance. The soap siphon worked as it was supposed to. The unit also does a good job on things like patio furniture. I also tried an 11" diameter, 2000 psi rated surface cleaner, which turned in mediocre results on my driveway; if your surface is REALLY dirty, you have to move SO slowly that water tends to accumulate underneath and block the spray - 2000 PSI isn't enough to blast it out. So the turbo nozzle works better. If you have a lot of very dirty concrete surface you'll be cleaning often, a gas unit is the way to go. Long term durability is an open question. The hose seems cheap, but overall Ryobi gives this unit a 3 year warranty - the competitive 2000 PSI electric unit sold at the "other" big box store only comes with a 1 year warranty, so that may be an indicator of relative build quality. I think if I do my driveway & patio regularly - at least annually, so it doesn't get TOO dirty - it will keep things looking pretty decent.

I took it to a warrantee repair center only to have them tell me the pump was bad but it wasn't covered under warrantee. To fix it was going to cost $210... more than I paid for the power-washer. I called Ryobi Customer service who was not helpful at all! Apparently you have to use Pump Protector on this product AFTER EVERY USE... yet it does not come with a trial bottle of pump protector. Will never buy another Ryobi product ever again!

I wanted a strong-ish psi for cleaning stuff but preferred electric so I wouldn't have to deal with buying and storing gas, draining the gas tank, etc. I first took it for a test drive cleaning some outdoor furniture that hadn't been touched in 10 years. It stripped the old weathered stain right off. Have also used it on some BBQ grill parts and to clean my front sidewalks. Driveway is next but that's going to be tedious -- the turbo tip helps, but you've still got to keep it close to the surface to clean heavy-duty grime, so it only covers a narrow strip at a time. but it's fast. The "build" seems sturdy enough -- plenty of plastic but the hoses and connectors seem a little better than other comparable models I've looked at. Have only used the soap once, but each time I start it up, on the first trigger pull there seems to be a small amount of soap in the line that has to clear. Really don't have experience using other brands, so all I can say is, it does what I wanted it to, and I'm happy with it so far!

I highly recommend this product and if you are a woman like I and 59 years old this is the power washer for you. I put it together within a hour but if I knew more about this product it would have been more like 10-15 minutes. I'm happy with my power washer because it's not so heavy you need a Army to move it and it doesn't take up much space. I had no clue what I was buying but I knew I didn't want to play with gasoline and this is just for MY house ( no Baby you can not use it) and for me to use and I finally have a new tool toy. I can't wait until my husband sees that I don't need to have him do everything when it comes to power washing.

I have only owned it for a couple of weeks but I have cleaned my deck, two walkways, my driveway and my house. I think 2000 psi is about right for a typical residential pressure washer. The motor powers on and off when you spray and it is not loud or annoying. The Greenworks Rotating Surface Cleaner accessory worked great with it on my driveway along with other accessories I bought. I did not want to have to deal with a gas engine. I did not experience any of the annoyances or problems that I saw in a few other reviews and this unit has exceeded my expectations so far.

For the happy homeowner who would like a power washer which can do the basics and help maintain his property it is nearly perfect. and well worth every penny. Easy to use, it is heavy enough to really clean concrete driveways, wood steps and decks, and cars. It isn't going to overpower the amateur user and damage anything. Siding is next!! Had it for about a month and am very pleased.

This pressure washer is not the most powerful we have ever used, but it is more than adequate for what we need. We have used it to clean the outside of our house, sidewalks, and patios. It is just the ticket for residential use.

Its an electric PW that thinks its Motorized... Does everything my old Gas Powered PW did ... You buy a PW to wash things and MOST times there isnt an Outlet near by so not having that extra mobile ability you get with gas powered units is troublesome.. But I got this to use at home and I installed outlets everywhere. This model is tricking people however with the hose reel... It lacks telling you that you MUST unhook the hose at both the PW and the Gun in order to use it . so its purely for storage of the unit.. I dont use it at all.. With those 2 things it is the only 2 things that I have found to complain about.. Its powerful and unlike gas PW can be hooked up and left on as it cuts off when not in use and comes back on when you squeeze the trigger.. Well worth the price!!
