Question,
We live in Denver CO altitude is 5,280 feet I have read all the reviews one review stated that there could be problems running this parallel unit at high altitude now it is sold in stores all over Denver but it is being shipped from out of state. (possible lower altitude)So could this possibly be a issue? Question 2 we bought this unit to use on a 28 foot fifth wheel which sometime we could go up to elevations up to 10 thousand feet or more I have heard that carbs may have to be adjusted and or replaced to possibly deal with the change in altitude ???

Thank you for your question regarding the RYi2200 Parallel Combo Kit. From the factory, there are no differences in these units based on state or elevation.
To comply with national EPA emissions standards, the generator is required to be reconfigured for high altitude operation (between 2000 and 7000 feet). These parts come in a kit and are available for free, but the work on the unit should be done by a professional. The kit that is needed is part number 120968013 (this part is for one generator; for two generators you would need two kits).
The high altitude operation kit will not affect the performance of the generator at all; it strictly ensures EPA emission compliance. High altitudes can still negatively effect the power and performance of any small motor.
There are no EPA regulations above 7000 feet. Hope this helps! Read Less

Answer:
Dear Valued Home Depot Customer,
We reached out to MFG for more information and below is their response.
"
The previous answers was making the incorrect assumption of 13,500 watts. Although it would depend on the specific unit, this kit should be able to run the AC unit in question, assuming it does not exceed 3600 watts."

I thought by purchasing the parallel units at 2200W each would handle the load.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ryobi 2,200-Watt Gasoline Powered Digital Inverter Generators with Parallel Comb Great product. Took my generators camping and perform like they should. Flawless, light weight and performance is what was looking for. The price was also good but could have being better if they would offer military discount, aside of this I am very happy with my purchase. Recommended this product September 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Very quiet and reliable. Runs my camper A/C with no problem August 9, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by They work sometimes.... When they are running great they def get the job done. I am using them to power my 36' camping trailer. I have had a few issues with them. For one they occasionally pulse really bad upon start up to the point the shut off (and yes I am doing the proper start up procedure). Seems like the auto idle gets stuck. You have to just shut it down let it sit for a while then start it back up. Problem seems to fix its self. Bottom line for the money you can't beat them. I would recommend these to someone that is only going to use them every once and a while. Would not buy if I had to rely on them 100% of the time. April 5, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by One good one Bad When the two generators were opened, both had oil in the plastic wrapping. I was a little concerned. I filled both with the provided oil. The first was perfect, started right up and all was good. The other one, same thing, except the oil all leaked out over night. I returned it to the store and without hesitation, they replaced it. Overall, I am happy though. They give plenty of power and are certainly quiet. March 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Have not used them yet but tested and good so far Very easy to set up put oil in them they supply dump the whole bottle in and follow instruction and they both fired right up! I tested all of the outlets with a 1500W heater to make sure they all work and everything was good. Put them on economy mode turned on heater and they idled up right away and powered no problem. They are both also very quiet I was kind of worried about that because I have used the Honda generators and they are quiet and was hoping these would be the same and they are. Happy so far will take them camping soon. Just make sure to add some fuel stabilizer to the fuel you put in them will help for sure and run non ethanol fuel if possible. September 29, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Save your money!!! So, let me start with the fact that I read lots of online reviews. I purchased a pair of these! I've taken them out six times camping. On the sixth trip one of them died. The piston came off the crank shaft and totally ruined the motor! Home Depot won't return it, had to send to manufacture service center. 10 weeks to get a replacement. While I was at Home Depot trying to return it, another gentleman returned his with a seized motor too. Although many reviews are good about this product, the bad one are really bad!!! In the owners manual it warns " not for use above 2000 feet of altitude ". Just go buy the Honda! I spent 1200 bucks to learn my lesson, now I have spent another 2000 for the Honda that will probably last my lifetime! October 24, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by So far so good and cheaper than the Honda or Yamaha combo I bought these to power my 30 amp RV and so far don't have any complaints. Delivery and packaging were good and fast . The 30amp parallel box came a couple of days later and I haven't had a chance to try everything together yet. Both Genies fired right up after adding the included oil. The Quality looks to be as expected. Pretty good Chinese made backed by an American company with a good reputation for customer service. I went with the Ryobie ( as mention American company) for parts availability and the fact that it is the most affordable system with the Parallel combo board. The individual generators are small and light enough to pick up with one hand. This made a lot more sense than going with a big single generator. My wife and daughter will appreciate the handle and wheels for easy transporting too. Ergonomics are good and make these easy for anyone to use. October 23, 2015
