This is a super quite generator for 1/2 price of the competition I started it (after adding the supplied oil) and ethanol free gas (I will tell you now if you leave E10 Fuel in anything for more than a couple of weeks bad things happen) it started in about 10 pulls of the pull start and purred like a kitten. The oil in the can didn't seem full but when I put it in it filled perfect to the top. It is enough to run two of my refrigerators and if it lasts like every other Roybi I've had I will be very pleased. I do wish it was just a little stronger so it would run the ac on my camper but at 2200 watts its not supposed to. (Hey Roybi I would buy another if it was quiet and about 3300 watt hint hint)

Bought this as a backup to our Honda eu200i. Ryobi states that this has 2200 starting Watts and 1800 running Watts. Neither are true. The Honda is 200 Watts less on each spec and the Ryobi won't run the same blowers that the Honda does. It overloads immediately. The stated Watts simply aren't true. Its impossible for them to be true if another generator that has less wattage can run the same item without any issues. Also, the box states "quieter than a conversation". Lol, I don'y know how loud they talk at Ryobi but this is NOT a quiet unit.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Angry Bad from the start! Bought two of them both were bad from the start. .
I bought one to use when camping the first one stated just one time would not start after one use. Then had to take it back to the store got a different one. Only used this one four times had the same issue would not start. Also Home Depot will not back up their product they sell. No good not reliable buy a Honda for the money they charge for the Ryobi plus the Honda works and is reliable.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by GregB OK, but definitely not as quiet as the Honda EU2000
I have 9 other generators that I use for my business, including an ultra-quiet Honda EU2000. I was looking to add another quiet inverter-type generator to my stock and decided to try this Ryobi. On the good side, the wheels and slide-out handle are handy, but the build quality definitely doesn't match the more expensive Honda unit, Lots of loose hardware shakes and rattles add to the noise. The engine generates LOTS more noise than the Honda, both from the exhaust and the engine mechanical noise.
In hindsight, I wish I had paid the extra $400 for another Honda generator.

Bought this unit for camping, nothing major charge up cell phones and for some camp lights!
Ran Quiet - roughly 55 to 60 db standing over it, not a problem for the campsite.
Started Very Easily - never more than 2 pulls and takes no strength to pull the cord
used it for 4 day and 3 nights no problems as of yet, I am going to change the motor oil ASAP when i can, and use Mobile 1 SYNTH V twin formula which has different properties for an air cooled engine.
It's not too heavy but not light either, (60'lbs roughly)
I ran 89 octane and Star Tron Enzyme Fuel Treatment through it so the insides don't get gummed up!
it was a good investment and we plan on using it a bunch this year !
So Far * I would recommend to a friend !

Saved my date, had one of our other 2000 wat units drop an ignition... ran to local Home Depot and grabbed this unit, an hour later we had our show up and running, Started it 4pm Saturday and it ran full throttle til sunday at 3:30, never missed a beat..
It also powers my RV AC , Refrig, battery charger and TV all at same time running with auto idle ON.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Westy Great, reliable, and affordable generator!
I bought one of these generators in the fall to use for my camper throughout the fall and winter. I lived in my camper for about 4 months and used the generator almost every day! It was very quiet, efficient, and reliable. The only issues I had were caused by pulling the cord out too far which was a user error! It survived the cold and snow at 9,000 ft all winter up in Colorado! Great purchase and highly recommended!

Bad decision. It broke down after the six time I used it. Not with it.
